Food, Love, & Memories

Food, Love, & Memories April 29, 2014

We are pleased to announce that our new bimonthly column Food, Love, & Memories – will debut next Wednesday, May 7th!

Some of our most evocative memories arise from shared meals with friends or strangers, being fed by our mothers as children (or adults), or a simple sniff of the spice jar. We break bread, and learn something about ourselves and our relationship to others & the world in the process.

Do you have a story to share? Use a meaningful or favorite recipe as the foundation of a great story. Send your story+recipe to us at: stories [AT] loveinshAllah DOT com with the subject line: “Food/memory submission.” Submissions should be between 500-1,200 words. As always, we invite a diversity of voices and perspectives to submit!

For examples of the types of stories we are looking for, please read here and here.

Join us in welcoming the newest members of the www.patheos.com/blogs/loveinshallah family, our food column editors: Jilan Armstrong & Farah Naz Khan!
