Scripture:

The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. (Isaiah 9:2; Matthew 4:12-16)

Prayer:

Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever . . . .

What does this stir in me? Gratefulness that the light has come? Longing for a world without darkness?

I bring these feelings of gratefulness and these longings before you and speak with you about them, you who are pure light.

Questions to Ponder:

How are you longing for God’s light? Where do you need God’s light today?
