The Prophet Chesterton once remarked that journalism tends to give us the end of the story without giving us the beginning or middle. In his memorable phrase, newpapers are constantly announcing “Admiral Bangs is Dead!” to a world that never knew Admiral Bangs had been born.
I find myself in much the same position now, announcing “A winner in the Theology of the Body script contest has been selected!” to a world that never knew the Theology of the Body script contest had been held.
