Prayer Requests 2014-12-30T11:01:32-07:00

A reader writes:

I wondered if you could pray for my grandparents. My grandfather has recently been having pains in his lungs. There’s some kind of tumor there, but the doctors don’t yet know how serious it is. I only see my grandparents once a year, and wish I could be with them now. Please join me in my prayers for both my grandfather and grandmother.

Father, hear our prayer for healing, grace and peace for my reader’s grandpa and grandma, for skill, wisdom and compassion for his caregivers and for grace, strength and peace for all who love him.  Mother Mary and St. Luke and St. Peregrine, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Another reader writes:

I need plenty more belief, plenty more power of prayer and more Holy Ghost with me. Please pray also that God gives me gifts of God’s grade.

Father, hear our prayer through Christ our Lord.  Mother Mary, pray for him.

Another reader writes:

If you would, please say a prayer for my brother, Tom, who is nearing the end of his difficult battle with A.L.S.  Please also say a prayer for his wife, two children and grandchildren.

Father, hear our prayer for Tom that he would either be healed or would have the grace of a happy death and eternal light through Christ our Lord.  Give his brother, wife, children and grandchildren and all who love him grace, strength, consolation, and peace through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

My brother is divorced, and he and his ex-wife cannot agree on when and how he may see his son.  Would your readers please pray that the grace, peace, and mercy of God heal both their hearts and provide comfort and guidance to the poor child in the middle of this mess?

Father, hear our prayer through Christ our Lord.  Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for this family, and especially this  child.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Sr. Elizabeth Ann, a Dominican Sister of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist just sent out the following:

Last night, my sister told me that a good friend of hers just found out that the child she’s carrying is severely disabled, and her friend is beginning to think that abortion is the best option. Her friend doesn’t think she can handle parenting a disabled child, and, of course, her doctors & everyone else is recommending termination. Please pray that she will have all the grace, strength and courage she needs to choose life. These next two weeks are crucial, as she has to decide by the time the child is 18 weeks. If you have a prayer chain or other intercessors you can send this to, that would be much appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.

Father, hear our prayer that the mother will choose life for her child and that this will issue in your glory and their great good.  Mother Mary, pray for this mother and child.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
