Hi Mark. It’s not often that I have one. But my husband just informed me that our expenses are a couple of thousand dollars behind what he makes.
He has two jobs, his corporate job that he’s had for 27 years (in today’s economic climate, praise God for that), and his side business, which does well, but is seasonal.
I have been a stay at home mom for 13 years. Finding work for me would mean my children having to give up their activities. Whatever salary I made wouldn’t be enough to cover that gap.
My request isn’t something crazy like winning the lottery; it’s simply managing our expenses so our kids can continue to live in the house they’ve lived in their whole lives.
Father, hear our prayer for this family that their financial needs be met with just compensation and a living wage for their work. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Javier, the seminarian I asked prayers for last week died Monday Aug. 26th. Please pray for his family and for the repose of his soul.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Grant grace, peace, consolation, and strength to all who love him, Father, and eternal light in your presence to your son. Mother Mary, pray for him and for all of us at the hour of our death. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
