Here, as if paid to illustrate yesterday’s post about the “Abortion is Our #1 Priority!” Shell Game, is a conversation I had over on the Book of Face yesterday:
Fr. Dwight Longenecker quipped:
There was a rep named Nancy the Ripper
Who shredded speeches as quick as a zipper
She was so mad at Trump
She was ready to dump
The Donald into a wood chipper.
I replied: You get that it was actually Trump who helped the Saudis literally a dismember a human being in their embassy, right?
Then, one of his readers, eager to demonstrate the sheer depths of evil the MAGA “prolife” Cult is willing to sink to, responded:
She sure wasn’t pleased when President Trump called for ending ripping apart innocent babies in the womb.
Also, that “journalist” was a Muslim Brotherhood stooge who was in the game (aka had blood on his hands and not innocent).
I replied: It is typical of the Cult of Trump that you use the unborn as human shields in order to actually *defend* sawing an innocent man to pieces.
To which the cultist responded:
a) you assume I’m in the cult of trump
b) you assume he was innocent because the media has called him a journalist (when in actuality he was a Muslim Brotherhood stooge in the game)
c) you’ve been lost for so long you’re comments are less important than a gnat’s last breath.
Father wrote a limerick and wasn’t making a polemic or political statement.
But hey … Troll and assume on.
I replied: I assume nothing. You defend the brutal and sadistic murder of a man–by *sawing* him to death–who was guilty of no crime and sentenced by no jury and afforded no due process at all. Simply murdered in cold blood by a barbaric Bronze Age regime. You do it for one purpose, to defend Donald Trump for his involvement in that barbaric act. You hide behind the unborn and lie that you are “prolife” while you do it. I don’t have to read your heart and cannot do it if I wanted to. I read your words.
Jesus commanded us to test the fruits. Your fruits are diabolically evil. Your rejection is a badge of honor. It would be your approval that would horrify and shame me.
Which lead to today’s topic: How we got to the place where it is “prolife” to passionately defending sawing a man to pieces.
Lets’ recap, shall we?
For 40 years, we have been told that any day now the GOP will magic abortion away. Always, just over the horizon, there would be a GOP-dominated SCOTUS that would overturn Roe so it was vital to keep voting GOP and supporting everything they did in order to achieve that goal. And all of that reached a fever pitch as conservative Christians somehow lost their minds for this pillar of prolife purity:
Any day now, the Cult Leader–whose party is 100% responsible for establishing our abortion regime with Roe would finally give us that Supreme Court super-majority that would overturn that ruling.
Except, of course, for the fact that the Great Rosy Dawn of the GOP supermajority is to be found, not in the future, but in the past when an 8-1 GOP Court, with its sole Dem being a prolifer, entrenched Roe (with Casey).
Well, no matter, because surely the most Prolifeyest President of All Time will, with a GOP dominated House and Senate, definitely…
Oh, wait… Reagan had a GOP Senate, Bush 43 had the House and the Senate, and Trump had the House and the Senate. And yet none of them did much of anything about abortion. And all of them steadfastly kept funding Planned Parenthood. How about that?
Indeed, Mr. Super-Duper Prolife? Here you go:
Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report reveals it aborted 345,672 babies and received just over $616 million from taxpayers during its 2018 to 2019 fiscal year.
As a matter of fact, Trump and his party actually increased funding for PP by 8% in 2018-2019.
But that’s not all!
The GOP that has, any minute now for 40 years, been promising swift action on abortion has acted yet again! This year the Party of Trump is funding PP for $550 million more!
Despite earning the praises of so-called pro-life leaders like Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser, who thanked Trump for his “strong leadership” and also thanked Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy and a host of “pro-life allies” for “holding pro-abortion Democrats accountable,” the omnibus finances Planned Parenthood to the tune of more than $550 million by the end of the fiscal year.
Not that the Cult of Trump’s Dear Leader has done nothing. He has cooked the books to keep the wilfully self-deceptive in the dark:
Republicans and pro-life groups are pointing out how the GOP shot down last-minute riders to the omnibus that would have reversed Trump’s ban of Title X funds to organizations promoting abortion and his restoration of the Mexico City Policy banning funds for abortions outside the US as evidence that the party is keeping its promise to end abortion. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Trump’s “Protect Life Rule” defunding abortion providers receiving Title X funds allegedly denied Planned Parenthood of nearly $60 million, but White House officials admitted this was untrue. Planned Parenthood could continue receiving Title X money with a little creative bookkeeping, something the abortion provider elected not to do, choosing instead to fight the Rule in court.
This court battle is smoke and mirrors because Planned Parenthood funding has increased under Trump to the point where the $60 million “loss” is on the way to being made up. Through Medicaid reimbursements and family planning grants, Planned Parenthood funding has increased by nearly $20 million year-over-year since 2017-2018.
Yeah, but still GOP dedication to overturning Roe burns in the breast of President I-Won’t-Tell-You-If-I-Ever-Paid-for-Abortions-for-my-Mistresses McBabyChristian, right?

So what has the “prolife” MAGA Christian gotten in exchange for all this betrayal?
Well, he has given himself body and soul to the assassination of Theodore Roosevelt.
He has joined himself in deep spiritual union with ISIS, who also believe Trump is the anointed advancing the will of their god.
He has lied that he just cares about the “rule of law” while simultaneously cheering for Trump’s defiance of the Constitution.
He has passionately defended the bizarre idea that new refugees should not be allowed to settle in Texas.
He has passionately defended 13,000 documented lies like this one:
and ridiculous “Double Secret Probation Intel Forbids us to Tell Congress What is Going On” Lies from Mike Pence.
He has cheered for cutting poor and elderly people off from food and heat in the dead of winter.
What the Cult clearly demonstrates is that they are liars who could not care less about the unborn except as human shields for what they really love and passionately support: Trump’s lawless cruelty to the brown and weak. Leaving brown children motherless, and poor people freezing and hungry, not reducing abortion, is their truest and deepest love. That is the real fruit of this antichrist cult.
