3. Memory is Not Like Memorex
Eben Alexander–author of Proof of Heaven and NDE poster child–claims that he didn’t research NDEs until after he wrote down his experience. But a skeptical reading of his book makes plain that he has drunk deeply from the NDE Kool-Aid cup, retrofitting his account to his later slavish research.
Indeed, the pattern of increasing complexity of his NDE mirrors the evolution of my own coma-dream, as my level of consciousness rose. Coincidence?
