Reaching out to my Readers again… November 3, 2009

I want to thank all of you who provided much helpful feedback regarding how I could go about making some monies on the time I am spending developing this blog and answering the wonderful variety of questions it is receiving. I have decided against my original idea of a subscription since so many voiced concern regarding financial ability and/or willingness to pay on a regular basis. My biggest fear is that concerns regarding finances or anonymity would keep certain readers from seeking the help they want or need. I definitely want to avoid this possibility.

However, I do see the services I am providing on this blog to be of value. I enjoy this medium of reaching out to you and I want to continue forward with the time and energy I am currently devoting. Therefore, I am going to leave it up to each of you as readers to translate whatever value it is you receive from reading the contents of this blog to a donation that will help me continue with this endeavor. As in the format public radio uses, you can choose to donate once or on a more regular basis. I would especially encourage you to leave a donation if you have submitted a question, and have found my advice/information useful to your situation. However, I am not going to make payment mandatory for submission because, again, I do not want to discourage anyone from being able to post a question.
Since I answer questions generally in the order I receive them, it is currently taking about 2-3 weeks for me to get to a comment posted. If you would like your current question answered more speedily, then I will prioritize questions that have a donation attached. Include in your post that you made a donation and I will take note.
Thanks again to all who have taken the time to give me such useful insight on this matter. I so appreciate my readers! Please feel free to comment again in regards to my decision.
