A panel of Black Muslim authors wrapped up a weekend Black Muslim Festival wealth sessions, discussing the importance of messaging and branding when writing and selling books. The online discussion was one of many during the month-long festival that centers Black Muslim experiences.

Hosted by Layla Abdullah-Poulos, authors Habeeb Akande, Halimah DeOliveira, Na’ima B. Robert, Rahmah Roodah, Umm Juwayriyah and Umm Zakiyyah shared their motivations for writing, challenges authors may encounter and balancing content and branding.
