Next week we’ll return to our review of Lori Alexander’s book ‘The Power of the Transformed Wife’ I’ve been out of the country with spotty internet and I flew back in yesterday to see a pile of tabloid stories on the magazines at the airport involving the Duggar family.

In Touch is claiming that Anna Duggar is on the verge of divorcing spouse Josh. It seems that the man whose photographs Josh used on both the Ashley Madison and OkCupid, Matthew McCarty, is suing Josh. The case is going to court on February 27. According to the usual bunch of ‘unnamed Duggar insiders’ Anna has spoken to a divorce attorney and is planning on filing for divorce soon because the lawsuit is the final straw in several years of humiliation. In Touch is speculating that she will land a very large financial settlement. Only time will tell how true this is. I kind of hope it is because the picture the source paints of the relationship between Anna and Josh sounds miserable for everyone involved, including the children.

People magazine – very typically the positive publicity Duggar machine – has a Duggar daughter puff piece covering four full pages. Nothing surprising in anything stated. But two of the women are showing bare knees in their photos! There are a few new tidbits.

Jill Duggar Dillard is claiming that she and Derick are planning to return to El Salvador very soon to continue their mission and will fly back for the birth of their new baby. Guess they had to mention this to justify the fact that they’ve still been fund raising for all the months they’ve been home.

Jinger Duggar Vuolo has been unshackled from daddy Jim Bob Duggar and allowed to move to Laredo, Texas with new husband Jeremy. Handed off from one keeper to the next.

Jessa Duggar Seewald is apparently past her due date and has not picked a baby name.

Jana Duggar is still claiming to love to fix up things like houses and cars.

But the saddest update of all was on the Duggar daughter in courtship – Joy-Anna Duggar. She said this “I’m not sure when the next step will come. You will have to ask Austin what he’s thinking–and my dad!” A sad indicator that yet again every aspect of a woman’s life in Quiverfull is entirely controlled by the men in her life.

One of the Duggar groups on Facebook says that Jim Bob sold one of the two small planes they own and has purchased a ten seater aircraft. Oh lawd how the money keeps rolling on in.
