CBN’s Pat Robertson Approves of Murder? October 21, 2018

Every single time I think the threshold of awfulness cannot be breached by the Evangelicals someone comes along and says β€˜Here, hold my communion wine!’. Then they lower the bar yet again. This time β€˜The 700 Club” host and founder Pat Robertson says that we should not be upset by Saudi Arabia’s cruel murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Instead of condemning the action all Robertson is interested in is keeping the $100 billion in arms sales for the United States. Pat Robertson approves of murder, contrary to his stated belief in the Bible. Hypocracy on a grand scale.

From Vox here are the words of Robertson:

and this:

Unbelievable. A minister sanctioning murder because of money. Money is his real God. Dear Pat, it’s time for you to leave the world stage and no longer comment on politics if you are going to condone and promote actions that the Bible forbids. Or you need to admit you are not a Christian. These views are completely at odds with the works and words of Jesus.

What do you think?

Part of me wants to say, β€˜Oh, he is just going senile’ since he is now 88 years old. But this is just pure evil. I despair for a world in which Robertson is held up as a moral example or hero. What has happened to the church?
