Religious Freedom? Now or Never

Throughout history religious fundamentalist clergy have been hostile to human liberty. Today we have the very real threat of the dominionists. With Governor Perry leading the assault on freedom in the name of God it is time to acknowledge that there is a credible threat to our form of government.

It is the separation of church and state that tends to preclude an American propensity toward fanaticism. Should this ‘wall’ be allowed to tumble the consequences for our society will be catastrophic. These groups seek to strip the nation of it’s freedoms via ‘legislative morality” If we allow religion to be enshrined in law, the religious right to sip at the cup of power once more, the progress of generations will come to naught.

It matters not your religious proclivities, Christians, Jews, Islamists, Pagans, Hindus, Buddhist and Atheists all must now stand together and face this onslaught designed to negate the very rights that built our society. Today we have a new ‘National Security’ threat, one that seeks to etch the cancer of religious bigotry in our legal code.

Join Me, stand, say something, be counted, or quietly go into the night with all that you hold sacred.
