7 Quick Takes #16

I cleaned both bathrooms, my whole kitchen and the living room this week. And I am almost caught up on laundry. And today we have the most gorgeous sunny weather! All good reasons on why I should have an amazingly relaxing weekend. I’m so glad it’s Friday.

You were all so helpful with my last book request, that I figured I’d ask you again! This time I am looking for any good books on the basics of marriage for a young couple. You know, like finances, sex, communication, breaking away from parents, that kind of thing. Any suggestions?

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but little girls and sand don’t mix. Until they invent underwear/diapers that seal out sand, sandboxes should not be allowed for girls. I’m having a hard time forgiving the previous residents of this house who installed a sandbox as big as a queen size bed in our yard. This is going to be a long summer.

We are using our tax refund to go to the dentist for the first time in 5 years. I keep telling myself that this is a good thing, a very necessary thing. Something that we have been unable to afford for far too long. But in reality I am terrified and if I never had to go to the dentist again I would be a happy woman. I cannot stand being trapped in a chair in a strange smelling room with some pain-inflicting-overly-happy-freak who insists on trying to carry on a conversation with me while scraping my gums teeth. I HATE going to the dentist. And there is nothing I can do about it! I feel so helpless.

I am so thankful for the warmer sunnier weather we are supposed to be having the next few weeks! It has a huge impact on my happiness! However, the sun is coming up earlier and earlier, and that means my kids are getting up earlier and earlier. If anyone has a link for black-out blinds that actually black out the sun please share.

I have a HUGE taste for Banana Chocolate-chip Muffins. I think I will be baking them tomorrow. Maybe some Cinnamon Raisin Bread too. Weather like this just inspires one to bake.

I am feeling to tired to think of a seventh quick take, so that’s it for me this week!
