“Jesus would march with us on No Kings Day.”

That was the opening line in the email. It came from a Christian group that has dedicated itself to reclaiming the Christian witness from the cesspool of greed, idolatry and hate that MAGA “christianity” has mutated itself into.

I think the time is long past when Christians can stand by silently while profiteering false shepherds lead people away from Christ and the Cross and teach them to fall down in worship before satan’s newest Baal. At the same time, I do not see it as my place in the order of things to announce what Jesus Himself would do.

I don’t know if Jesus would make a sign for Himself and join the No King’s Day protest. What I do know is that this regime which the No Kings Day marchers are protesting is evil.

It was birthed in hatred and lies, and it sustains itself with more hatred and lies. It has weakened and besmirched the witness to Christ in America and around the world. Right wing MAGA Christianity mocks God and makes a mockery of the Christian faith.

MAGA blatantly supports lies and lying, rapists (including pedophiles) and raping, theft and stealing, bribes and extortion, race-baiting and racism, preying on the poor, worship of the rich, injustice and tyranny enacted against innocent ordinary people, and lawlessness and plundering by members of this regime and Trump’s billionaire bros.

Worse — much, much worse — it “justifies” this black sinfulness by twisting the Gospels and lying about what Jesus taught in order to claim that God Himself supports these things.

MAGA follows phony “prophets” who claim to have had visions from God that tell them that the moral degenerate Donald Trump is “God’s chosen one.” They equate following Trump with following Christ. They tell their followers that they must blindly vote for the political candidates put forward by one particular political party — no matter how cowardly, immoral or cruel they may be — to get into heaven.

This is Anti-Christ. Any Christian worthy of the name should abhor this blatant attack on the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

I don’t know if Jesus would make a sign and carry it in the No Kings Day protests tomorrow. I don’t speak for the Lord.

I do know that participating in peaceful protest against this evil can be a profoundly Christian act. It can also be a way of reclaiming legitimate Christian witness for Christ in America.

If you participate in No Kings Day tomorrow, don’t do it out of hatred. Trust the fate of the degenerates who have taken control of this country to God. You don’t have to hate them to oppose what they do. All you have to do is love God and other people. The rest will follow.

Offer up your participation in No Kings Day to the cause of redeeming this nation and the world from the pit of amoral, lawless, sinfulness into which it has been led.

March for the salvation of those who are lost in the idolatry of MAGA.

March for those who are being held in cruel conditions in Trump’s internment camps.

March for those who have been unjustly incarcerated.

March for the murdered like Renee Good and Alex Pretti, the nameless victims who have died in Trump’s internment camps, and the innocent civilians in Venezuela and Iran whose names we don’t know but who died for no reason except the greed and incompetence of the Mad King.

March for the maimed, disfigured and suffering victims of this evil, both here in America and abroad.

March for the theft of our public treasure, which is being plundered by the Mad King and his billionaire bros like a plague of locusts, stripping this country bare.

March for the goodness of freedom of speech and a free press which are being bought and destroyed by those same billionaires.

March for the blessing of democracy. Make your walk a prayer that We the People will be able to keep our freedom.

Don’t go to No Kings Day in anger and hatred. Go for love of democracy, freedom, justice, and the sacredness of human life which belongs to every single person on this planet.

Would Jesus pick up a sign and walk with us? I don’t know.

I only know that He is calling and sending us to do His work in this time against this evil. We are called to speak for Him. We are called to stand up against false shepherds and the fake “gospel” of selfishness and hate that they are peddling.

If we join No King’s Day with righteousness and love for Jesus and our fellow human beings in our hearts, He will be there with us.

I’m not presuming to speak for the Lord when I say that. I am also not guessing. I know it. I know Jesus will be with us because He said He would.

When two or three of you are gathered together in My name, I will be there with you.

Jesus said it.

We can rely on it.
