Pope Francis’ condition has improved and he is completely of. the ventilator! He is continuing to receive oxygen, but has no fever, which sounds as if his infection is on the run. Pope Francis has had a relapse. He has been put on “non-invasive ventilator.” The Holy Father had what Vatican News describes as “an isolated episode of bronchospasm,” which caused him to vomit and then inhale some of the vomitus. I have hopeful news. Pope Francis’ health is slowly improving. The “slight” kidney failure that his blood tests showed has backed off and his other blood values are also improving. While our Poppa is still critically ill, and his prognosis is “guarded,” this is a sign of hope.
