Big news: I talked with my wife yesterday.

I’d been talking to her every day, but yesterday for the first time in a week, she was able to talk back. She still has pneumonia, she’s still in the ICU, and she’s not coming home any time soon, but she’s off the machine, awake, alert, and looking stronger than she’s been in a long time.

Step by step, but heading in the right direction.
