Tina Fey Points Out All The ‘Hollywood Bulls**t’ She Saw At The Oscars

Tina Fey Points Out All The ‘Hollywood Bulls**t’ She Saw At The Oscars 2016-03-03T12:44:12-07:00

Tina Fey is always a breath of fresh air.  After the Oscars, she talked with Howard Stern about how annoying it was to have to listen to the preachiness of all the stars at the awards show:

“I’m so glad I live here [in New York City], because halfway through [the Oscars], I was like, ‘This is some real Hollywood bullshit.’ Everyone’s telling me what to do,” Fey said.

“People are yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really, it’s climate change. I was like, ‘Guys, pick a lane. Like we’re going to fix everything tonight.’ And also, like, ‘You’re all rich. Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed?'”

I agree.  The Oscars are an awards show for the entertainment industry, not politics.

I always find it fascinating how preachy and pushy Hollywood celebs are about their politics.  They describe themselves as tolerant, even though they have more righteous indignation and zeal than your average Baptist Sunday School attendee.

To listen to Fey’s interview with Stern here, and it’s refreshing to hear someone like Fey speak out against the moral grandstanding.
