Scott Stahlecker holds a B.A. and served as an associate pastor before parting ways with religion in 1990. He is the author of several books including the novel Blind Guides and Picking Wings Off Butterflies. He and his wife are also the former owners of several hospice agencies in Austin, Texas, as well as two retail music stores in Alaska.
