Leadership is Stimulating

There is nothing quite like that first leadership taste in the morning. It is a wake up call that gets us going and is good to the last drop.

Leadership stimulates our senses even before we taste it. We can smell the aroma of leadership in the air. There are leadership sights and sounds that get us going even before that first taste on our palate.

You may like your leadership strong, or with a well-roasted aftertaste. Perhaps you prefer some added sweetness, or frothy smoothness, or cinnamon.

Then there are those chemical reactions leadership creates as it works through our system.

The leaders who stimulate me bring out the best in me. They have a way of convincing me I can do more than I expected I could. They help me think more clearly, make connections more quickly, and feel better. I feel refreshed when I work with them, and develop a taste for more.

Sometimes a little time with a good leader is just what I need to clear away the cobwebs and see things differently.

Leadership is stimulating. It is not stimulating like an adrenaline rush, driving me into a frenzy of activity. Leadership stimulates me to become more of myself. Leadership is not only about pushing me into activity, or into analytical overdrive. Strong leadership stimulates me in a more balanced way.

Leaders stimulate me to become more contemplative, and more insightful. Leaders help me see ways I can become a stronger leader, and help me spend time doing that.

The leaders I treasure most deeply stimulate me to know my true self more intimately, and to see more clearly.

We can share leadership all day long and make a new batch whenever we need it.

Whose leadership is stimulating you today?

Is it time for your leadership break?
