Revelry in the Present Moment

Revelry in the Present Moment

It is easy to give ourselves over to revelry, to see revelry as a way to hide from pain or fear.

Revelry is not a hiding place. It is not a sanctuary which allows us to escape real life for a short time. We discover ourselves moment by moment. We are not caught up in regrets or lessons of the past. We let go of anticipation and anxiety about the future. Revelry is about celebrating who we are, not masking or forgetting. Revelry is a way of life.

True revelry, deep revelry, flows out of who we really are. Revelry begins with being honest with ourselves.

Each moment is a revelation. We do the hard work of overcoming our own defenses, of reacquainting ourselves with the person each of us has always been. As we recognize the self we have always known, we appreciate the person we truly are. We become more deeply ourselves, and we find the joy of living authentically. We revel in who we are. The past and the future recede, and we celebrate the present.

Each moment is an opportunity to celebrate being true to ourselves. Each day is filled with possibilities to grow into the people we are, and to connect with the true selves of the people around us. There are countless ways every day to contribute to the lives around us, and to the life that holds us all together.

For me, I listen to the stories people are willing to share with me and help them rediscover what brings them alive. I help people find the tools to become the leaders they truly want to be. I help people connect to others and share the life they are rediscovering in themselves.

My life is rooted in revelry.

How do you revel in each moment?

What possibilities fill your day today?
