Writing Crookedly with Straight Lines

A couple of days ago, my dad sent me the following video. Apparently, he’s gently encouraging me to lose my mind. …more rapidly than I’m already losing it, that is.

Seriously, these sorts of things drive me crazy. Things that I don’t understand bother me not at all. Things that I understand on an intellectual level that still produce an uncontrolled response in me when I see them? Those are the insanity-inducing ones.

I especially like the switch from 3 to 4. The one where the video jumps from a series of interesting-but-unconnected parts to a Whole New Thing. Ah-HAH! moments are the best. (At the same time, it’s that transition from “Nothing to see here, folks” to “Oh, My! There’s a rotating square right there!!!” that makes me question my sanity. Even though I know why it works, I’m still amazed when it works.)

Also, all I can think of when I see this is Ptolemy. (That’s normal, right? RIGHT?)
