Why is this interesting, today?

Every once in a while, I check my site meter and see an old post of mine suddenly being googled with frequency, and I wonder what it’s about. Sometimes it’s easy to figure out. Around Valentine’s Day, (or “V” day in AngryFeministland) there will always be lots of people blogging The Vagina Monologues and finding My Vagina and Me, Politically Incorrect and Loving It, so that makes sense.

But sometimes, there seems to be no reasonable explanation. For instance, this post, Both Parties Entwined in Mediocrity is seeing a lot of action today, and I can’t imagine why.

Anyone have any ideas? Something I’m missing – a big story, somewhere?
