Fearmongering Hillary jumps to Jihad 2015-04-15T04:47:30+00:00

I think it was a few weeks ago that some on the left were trying to start up a meme that the GOP stays in power by “playing on our fears.”

Now, Hillary seems to be doing the same – about school vouchers, no less:

Clinton, a longtime voucher foe who earned the backing of the city teachers union in 2000, says government financing of sectarian groups would incite ethnic and religious conflict – and encourage fringe groups to demand government cash to run their schools.

[…]

“First family that comes and says ‘I want to send my daughter to St. Peter’s Roman Catholic School’ and you say ‘Great, wonderful school, here’s your voucher,’” Clinton said. “Next parent that comes and says, ‘I want to send my child to the school of the Church of the White Supremacist …’ The parent says, ‘The way that I read Genesis, Cain was marked, therefore I believe in white supremacy. … You gave it to a Catholic parent, you gave it to a Jewish parent, under the Constitution, you can’t discriminate against me.’”

As an adoring, if somewhat puzzled, audience of Bronx activists looked on, Clinton added, “So what if the next parent comes and says, ‘I want to send my child to the School of the Jihad? … I won’t stand for it.”

Hillary immediately jumps to Jihad. She went to good schools. Her daughter went to good schools. But your kids cannot go to good schools because…because…well, really becasue the teachers unions would crush Hillary’s torso in a meat grinder if she ever stepped away from The Educator Orthodoxy which reads: The problem is the schools need more money. It’s not teacher incompetence, it’s not mismanagement by school boards, it’s not curricula so weighed down by social and politically correct concerns that teaching takes a back seat to indoctrination, it’s ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY, and no matter how much we spend it will never be enough, and vouchers take money away from US!.

But no…the reason your kid can’t go to a good school is because “someone might use federal money for Jihad!” A situation up with which she’ll not put. Really, what a paranoid way to govern. If you tried to parent like that you’d be considered a very poor parent, indeed: “I cannot allow you to go out with your friends because something bad might happen to you, so stay home with me, where you’re safe! I cannot allow you to go to college and study because you might get strange ideas in your head, so stay home with me and be safe! I cannot allow you to have money because you might spend it very stupidly, and even in destructive ways, so just sit there and take whatever I parcel out to you and like it.”

Her Nannystateism is getting neurotic.

Lorie Byrd at Polipundit wonders why the right doesn’t do a better job on this issue and it’s a good question. John Hawkins tends to think as I do, but he’s much funnier about it.

The amazing Michelle Malkin has the video. She also links to the fact that tax-payer funded Islamism is already in the schools, thanks.
