The left hates Donald Trump so badly, they want to believe that our First Lady is being held captive or something.  At least, that’s what some internet conspiracy theorists are saying this week.

Here’s the tweet that started it all:

Facebook user Andrea Wagner Barton said:

Will the real Melania please stand up?

Is it me or during his speech today a decoy “stood in” for Melania??

Why would the moron say “my wife, Melania, who happens to be right here…”

Seriously, watch very closely!

You can see by watching the video that she’s wearing sunglasses, has on a high collared jacket, and her hair is pulled close to her face.  (This seems to me like the behavior of someone who is used to being famous!)

The original tweeter, Joe Vargas, said, “I initially didn’t notice, but thought it was strange when he said “my wife Melania, she’s right here” to try & convince media it was her.”

Which, of course is weird, but it’s also the way the President talks. Twitter had many tweets like this:

“OK look this “Melania body-double travels w Trump” story is silly I mean where would they find another woman willing to go places with him,” sparked goldengateblond.

But what is the truth?  Turns out, it was easy enough to find a photo from that same event without her sunglasses on… and it’s obviously the First Lady.
