What Keeps Me Going This Week: Romans 15:4

When life is tough — or even when it’s not — I’ve found comfort in the Bible. My favorite parts change from month to month, week to week, or even day to day.  Honestly, I should read it more than I do, because I’ve also found that life is better when I hang on to its promises and truth.

Here’s the verse that’s speaking to me right now, Romans 15:4.

Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

The Bible is filled with all that we need to live the Christian life. It’s amazing that God loves me enough not only to provide wisdom, but encouragement for the path as well.

This week, what verses give you hope?

Amen. I have no doubt that God’s path will lead you to the right place, Bristol. You just have to follow it. Which is not always easy. But it is a blessing in disguise.

    Psalm 119 ( all 176 verses!)
Long ago I went through a time of affliction and tribulation and because of it grew very close to the Lord. Today I am glad I went through all that, because it has opened my eyes to the Goodness of God.
Verse 71 of Psalm 119 sums it up:
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
