What Keeps Me Going This Week: Proverbs 18:10

When life is tough — or even when it’s not — I’ve found comfort in the Bible. My favorite parts change from month to month, week to week, or even day to day.  Honestly, I should read it more than I do, because I’ve also found that life is better when I hang on to its promises and truth.

Here’s the verse that’s speaking to me right now, Proverbs 18:10.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

Lord, let me never run anywhere else!  Help me to remember where all truth is found and run there for safety.

This week, what verses give you confidence?

Hi Bristol…I needed to leave a comment for you and say Thank You for being such a wonderful person and most of all a great Mom. I watch your blog, read your Facebook postings and look at your pictures with Tripp. These things show the real and strong person you are behind all of the media attention. Even though you are younger than all of my children, I see in you a strength and a spirituality not often seen in those your age. Something about you just amazes me and I just needed to tell you that!! By the way, I hope you are enjoying and liking your java kitchen cabinets. I work for Homecrest Cabinetry in Goshen, Indiana where your cabinets were built and had the pleasure of placing your order. Thank You Bristol, you are an amazing person!!

    Bristol,

yes, that is all true and nice but I really can use some sanity medication from your mother who is MIA since the elections.

Many of her medications as I call her verbal rebuttals on what is going are expired since last week.

My head is exploding from all the spin and nonsense even at the GOP side. Rush, Levin, Savage they all give some sanity but these are not the extra-strength Advil I need to reduce my headache.

The only sanity I found so far is in the story of the guy flying the flag upside down
    http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20121113/NEWS01/311130021/upside-down-flag-obama?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Home&nclick_check=1

The only reason I have not yet followed his example because where I live this would result in destruction of my flag since it would be used as an excuse to tear down my flag in total.

so can you send an s.o.s. to your mother please?

Hilarious. I am thrilled you are so distressed. You deserve it.

I thought that now the election is over you paid vermin were out of a job.
O wait, you are one of those suffering from PDS/PSS (Palin Deranged/Stalking Syndrome). never mind.

What makes me a cheerful and not a grudging giver reading The Bible is asking in Jesus’ name GOD’s will.
