In a bold act of self-defense, a woman from South Carolina defied her would-be rapist’s demands to “stop fighting.” 

The ‘man’ who viciously attacked her? 16 years old! A TEENAGER!

After repeatedly punching the woman, this kid said, “Stop fighting and I won’t hurt you.” So, he broke into her home, pushed his way through the door, threw her on the ground, beat her, attempted rape, threatened her life with a knife—and he thinks he can say, “stop fighting?” (Are you kidding me?!)

She didn’t have a weapon, so she bit him!

His own mother called 911 after seeing him.  The woman saw her son was “not having a tongue and needing medical assistance.”

This punk deserves way more than a bitten tongue! Authorities charged him with five separate offenses:

First-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and first-degree kidnapping. He received a bond of $500,000 for the assault and possession charge. He wasn’t given a bond on the remaining charges.

To the woman who bravely defended herself, thank you for sharing your story as an inspiration. You gave a much needed reminder to always keep fighting!

Please ensure that the women in your life know how to defend themselves. There are many resources available for women, young and old, to learn self-protection. This woman’s scrappy escape possibly saved her life. Though covered in grace, we live in a fallen world where tragedies do happen. It is our duty as informed citizens to know how to protect ourselves and those around us.
