We live in an era where celebs feel they must speak out against the democratically elected President Trump just to fit in with all of their leftist friends.  It’s actually rare to find a celeb who is apolitical, who can resist the urge to conform to the majority of their friends.

But Kevin Hart, the actor and comedian, is doing just that.

“The way that I see it, my job as a comedian is to spread positivity. To make people laugh,” he said in an interview with the Daily Beast. “And I don’t want to draw attention to what’s already pissing us as a people off.”

He also said something similar to Variety, when he said:

“When you jump into that political realm you’re alienating some of your audience. I want to take your mind off of whatever may be going on in your life that could be wrong and give you a reason to say, you know what? It’s going to be OK. That’s being the positive, motivating, inspiring person that I am, that I always will be.”

I LOVE that.  Though I don’t mind that people have political opinions — I have many myself! — it does get old that every single area of American life has become politicized.  The most recent example of that, of course, is sports. ESPN learned a hard lesson that America doesn’t want to talk about politics all the time!

Hart even went further, saying that “Everybody’s not going to see things the way I want to see them. And they shouldn’t. That’s what makes us individuals. In that particular realm, I keep my opinions to myself. And like I said, if I don’t have anything nice to say, I shouldn’t say it at all. I’m not in the business of trashing people.”

Love it!
