Catching Up: Baby Driver, Better Call Saul, Movies Are Prayers, and more

It’s a great time to be a media consumer. It’s also an exhausting one.

I’ve seen a great deal of movies and TV shows in the past month. I’ve also been reading voraciously, at a rate I haven’t in years (this is likely thanks to having the summer off grad school). And yet, I feel like I’m still playing catch up. Normally, I would just write or podcast about what I could and move on without addressing the rest. But the problem these days is that everything is so good! It’s been a phenomenal year for movies, peak TV continues to astound, and there’s great writing being done. And if something’s good, I love to take the chance to write about it.

For awhile, I did a monthly post where I caught up on all the media I’d be consuming but hadn’t had the time to write about. I’m going to start it up again. I’m not sure how regular it’s going to be or if it will be at the same time each month, but it’s a good way to try and write about things that could otherwise slip through my fingers. But I hope you enjoy it, and please feel free to leave thoughts on what you’re reading/writing below!
