Church Sign Epic Fails: Faith vs Reason Throwdown

I’m not going to have time to post this tomorrow, so enjoy your Church Sign Epic Fails a little early this week! Today, we have a face-off between faith and reason, as some seem to feel like having both coexist is a physical impossibility. So with a few others thrown in for a little spice, enjoy this cage match between faith and reason.

Let’s get ready to grumble!!!!!

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess the Christian flier has a sheep on it?

Though most cultural theology comes off as pandering, I’d sit through this series fo sho. Especially if the quote “Do or do not; there is no try” appears at least once.

Then why did God give us reasoning minds???

Yeah, cause we Christians never do that. :-/

Is that a fact?

Clever, I’ll give you that.

So two plus three is “Jesus Christ?” Damn! I put “five” on my test.

Amen, and amen.

Yeah, but if I’m underwater and he’s up on top…never mind.

Doc, I got this faith thing and it won’t stop leaking…

Mr. Gruff the Atheist goat is from OBJECTIVE: Ministries, and I’m not sure, but I think they were a satirical website.

You know, sometimes I think that Christianity doesn’t really need its critics to tear it down – it’s destroying itself quite efficiently.

The Welsh church one wasn’t really a fail, though, was it?

    • Siôn

As minister of said Welsh Church I totally agree – not a fail at all!

      • yewtree

Indeed, that is a great message, well done.

  • Abel Undercity

When I was a kid I used to have a book called The Force of Star Wars by Frank Allnut, that made a pretty good use of the original movie as a Christian teaching tool.

    So there’s precedent, anyway.
