9. The Prodigal God by: Timothy Keller
Tim Keller is one of my favorite authors. He’s a modern day C.S. Lewis with a beautiful blend of academic brilliance and down-to-earth common sense. In this short-but-powerful volume, he unpacks Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son recorded in Luke chapter 15. It’s a story I’ve heard hundreds of time, but Keller’s telling of it made it brand new for me and helped me get a beautiful glimpse of God’s grace like few books I’ve ever read. Whether you’re a Bible scholar or completely clueless about Christianity, this short book could change your life.
