Love You Guys: Stay With Us

A photo of me waiting to hear the election results.

So, I just sent my kids off to school, made myself some coffee, and took a copious amount of Advil and Tylenol.  For the first time in many months, FoxNews is not quietly playing in the background.  I don’t have a pressing political development about which I want to talk to you guys. Instead, I’m sitting in the silence, being so thankful that you have come alongside us in this journey.

David has already mentioned that we’ve been nostalgic.  I’m not sure what we’ll do to fill the new time we suddenly have available to us.  You may have noticed that David and I have been writing mostly on our “French Revolution” blog, which will still be our main hub of our writing.  We’ve gotten many sweet e-mails from readers asking us not to shut down entirely, and we promise that we won’t.  David and I will keep writing.  You can’t get rid of us that easily.

And we don’t want to lose our relationships with you guys.  This is where you need to go to find (almost!) all of our writing.  Also, if you want to receive e-zines from us (little digests of what we’ve written), please send me an e-mail: Nancy @ EvangelicalsforMitt . org (without the spaces).  You can follow me on Facebook and Twitter (and yes, I’ll get a new post-election photo).  David is here and here.

We’ll write more about all of this, but for now I wanted to make sure you stay with us.  We’ll need to stick together.

    Hey,

I’m not going anywhere nor should you guys! You all were writing before the election and there’ll be no shortage of issues to write about after it, for sure! I think we can all use a little break from politics just to rest and recharge. Then we can get back into things. You both are a joy to read, some of my favorite commentators even if I don’t agree with Calvinism ;-)

Thank you for your faith, your courage, your devotion to Christ.

Thank you for supporting Mitt, especially embracing him being a Latter-Day Saint. ALL Christians need to band together in these last days, and it is amazing how many non LDS Christians have supported Mitt as a Man of Christ, even though our theologies are different. Thank you for all you did, and the example you set to so many people. That is love of Christ, is still the love of Christ no matter what distinct Church you belong to. Sad Mitt didn’t win, and I know you don’t believe in the Book of Mormon, but if you get a chance to read Helaman 5:2 you should. Reminds me of this election as well of what was happening to those people at that time. Thank you. We can only pray for ourselves and our children that we will all be safe, and be happy in the next years to come.

(Helaman 5:2) For as their laws and their governments were established by the voice of the people, and they who chose evil were more numerous than they who chose good, therefore they were ripening for destruction, for the laws had become corrupted.
