3 Fallen Notions About the Fall [Video]

The Fall of Adam and Eve is one of the most commonly misunderstood doctrines in Christianity. Many believe that the Fall was tragic. Others believe that Eve ruined it for all of us, and were it not for her actions we could still be living in Eden. Others believe Adam and Eve committed a serious sin by partaking of the fruit, and that their sin is a permanent stain on all of humanity in the form of original sin.

Not so! In this episode of I Believe: Expressions of Faith, I’ll briefly outline the true nature and meaning of the Fall, including the necessity of the Fall, the difference between sin and transgression, and Adam and Eve’s important role in God’s plan for all of us.

Scripture: Adam blessed God and was filled, and began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God.
