My Book “I’m OK – You’re Not” Now Available on Scribd.com May 27, 2009

My book, I’m OK–You’re Not: The Message We’re Selling Nonbelievers, and Why We Should Stop is now available,  for only $6.99, on Scribd.com.

If you don’t know yet, Scribd.com is basically the YouTube of documents. Anyone can post any document there, and thereby make it available for anyone else to download onto their computer and/or just about any mobile device, such as the Amazon Kindle. (Soon you’ll be able to download all Scribd documents onto iPhones.) An author of a document can make that document available on Scribd for free, or they can charge people to download and view it. I’ve made I’m OK available on Scribd for downloading, reading, and printing for $6.99. (Scribd keeps 20% of sales for themselves, so I make $5.34 per purchase of I’m OK.)

Scribd is huge: they have 60 million unique readers a month, and millions of available documents. (You can read about the company in a recent Los Angeles Times article, Scribd Borrows a Page From iTunes.)

I’m excited about making I’m OK available in this direct-to-reader fashion. Books cost too much; this is a paperless, secure, stable alternative to the traditional publishing process.

When you go to where I’m OK is listed on Scribd.com, what you find will look like the below. If you like it—if the book sounds like something you’d spend $6.99 to read—it’s extremely easy to buy and download onto your computer.

If you have any questions about any of this, of course don’t hesitate to ask.

All right! Coolio! More “The Cooking Show In My Head” tomorrow!
