In my last post, I related former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent praise of the Bible, admitting it was a better seller than his new book, He said of the Bible, “That blows this book away,” referring to his book, Letters to Trump, “I have to be honest with you.” Yes, please do, especially when it comes to the Bible. Then I concluded that post saying, “Mr. Trump, I have to be honest with you too. . . . It’s... Read more

Of all the mounting legal problems that former U.S. President Donald Trump has gotten himself into, most legal experts seem to agree that the federal investigation of Trump’s unauthorized removal of government classified documents from the White House and taking them to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Pam Beach, Florida, could be both the most egregious and easy-to-prove in court as being a crime that could result in Mr. Trump doing time in prison. But how does this have anything to... Read more

Ever since the Saudi-backed LIV Golf launched last year to challenge the PGA Tour’s hegemony in professional golf the world over, which has resulted in lawsuits between them, I blogged often that it was all about whether the PGA Tour’s “conflicting events” clause would hold up in a court-of-law in the U.S. And I stated that I believed it would. Why? The PGA Tour is a voluntary trade organization that has a legal right to set its own rules for... Read more

Journalist Tucker Carlson–the prime-time host of politically Republican, right-wing Fox News, by far the largest cable network on television–was fired yesterday with no reason given. His program, Tucker Carlson Tonight, had existed at the 8 PM ET prime time slot for the past seven years. Speculation has been swirling about why his firing. HuffPost reported yesterday that Carlson’s firing was connected to 92-year old Rupert Murdoch, the founder of Fox News and board chairman of its parent organization–Fox Corp. It... Read more

How so? It’s all about that obscure, 1973 memorandum drafted by the Office of Legal Counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice that occurred in response to the Watergate affair, in which President Richard Nixon resigned his office. Special counsel Robert Mueller had cited this memo in his report investigating alleged Russian interference in our 2016 presidential election in which Russian operatives supposedly tried to prevent former Secretary of State and First Lady Hilary Clinton from defeating Donald Trump. Mueller... Read more

The National Rifle Association began its annual meeting today with former President Donald Trump and his former Vice President Mike Pence as speakers who denied the need for more restrictive gun laws. Meeting in Indiana–Pence’s home state where he was governor in 2013-2017 before becoming Trump’s vice-presidential running mate–the former governor received a mix of applause and boos from these NRA members, most of whom have surely been Trump supporters. The boos were because Pence had refused to succumb to... Read more

Spaniard Jon Rahm won the rain-slogged Masters today by starting the day in second place, four strokes behind four-time major winner Brooks Koepka, and ending the day four strokes ahead of Koepka. Fifty-two year old Phil Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion himself, shot a blistering 65 today to tie Koepka for runnerup. This victory by Rahm was his second major win, and it moved him back into first place in world rankings. This Masters Tournament was chaotic due to such... Read more

My magnum opus, about the identity of Jesus, was published in 2008 with the title The Restitution of Jesus Christ and the pseudonym Servetus the Evangelical. I republished it yesterday with a new title, The Restitution: Biblical Proof Jesus Is NOT God. I also abandoned the pseudonym. And the book has a new front cover image. The book is 566 pp. This book is available at amazon.com now only in paperback for $35. You can see it and buy it... Read more

Mexican-American Lee Trevino, the 5 foot, 7 inch tall comedian they call Super Mex, was one of the greatest pro golfers of all time. He won 6 majors and a total of 29 PGA Tour tournaments. Apparently, it was yesterday that he publicly revealed more information about why, at the early prime of his career, he announced he would never play in the Masters Tournament again. I know because I was there. In 1969, Lee Trevino and I played together... Read more

What, you say. That’s right. A few days ago, ex-President Donald Trump messaged on his Truth Social that he would be “indicated” by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg last week on Tuesday. Trump has a habit of misspelling words. He meant “indicted.” Instead, it happened yesterday. Trump had to fly from Florida to New York to become indicted at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse for alleged crimes related to his having won the presidential election in 2016. Judge Juan Merchan had... Read more
