You, O Lord, are our hope. (based on Isaiah 25)

As I enter into this Advent season, I bring you, O God, my hopes, my longings, my needs, and my heart.

Questions to Ponder:

What stirs in me as I read these words and look at these images? I speak to Jesus about all that is going on inside of me.

This doodle reminds me how foundational to Christmas ‘hope’ really is. Whether on the mountain or in the valley, we press forward in the nurture of the hope that God’s visit promises. Out of exultation … or desperation … this Advent, I too will hope in You, Lord.

Thank you Mark and Linda for sharing your love of Christ and Advent with us.  My husband and I are the teachers for a young adult Sunday school class and have placed this site on our Facebook page- New Beginnings FUMC- for us to use for daily devotions during Advent.  We are sure that your insights and Linda’s artistic gifts will bring us closer to God.  Thank you again for sharing your faith.
