Fausta’s blog is now missing!

Along with Betsy Newman, and a few others, it seems now that Fausta’s newly designed Bad Hair Blog – another Blogger blog – is inaccessible.

What the heck is going on? Are only right-wing blogger blogs being affected in this manner?

I’m also hearing from some bloggers that they are noticing a decrease in appearance of their posts on google.

What’s going on? Anyone have a clue? Is a move afoot to silence blogs?

Funny, I thought it was just me!

Seriously, things have been a bit weird- here and at technorati, too.

    Anchoress –

One of our SCBA bloggers, Lowell Brown of HedgehogCentral.blogspot.com has also lost his Blogger site. Very much a conservative blog.

In the Google universe, it certainly looks like you get what you pay for!

I believe it is just that server, but I have offerred to create and host a WordPress blog for her.

Well, having just watched Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts in the dated but not so dated and darkly funny Conspiracy Theory followed by watching the much newer The Assassination of Richard Nixon {Sean Penn} I wouldn’t want to hazard an opinion on this or the recent posts here. Why? Look, we know there are people paid by CISIS to read google all day long looking for well, Christians and Catholic Christians especially – although technically many of them, who also attend evangelical churches would say that Catholic Christian is an oxymoron. Anyway, we all know now that google keeps all of its mail, your and my gmail on file in a huge database, next to the canned beans and warheads. That’s why I don’t use gmail anymore.

I know, I know, it sounds insane but did you know google spelt backwards spells elgoog! No _____. I’m serious.

I consider myself a conservative but I was such a poor fundagelical that I don’t imagine I’m going to make a very good far right Catholic either and I’m in a punchy mood today with the bar around the corner thumping loud and its patrons spreading their green pee around our neighborhood.

    What is CISIS?

Well, think of your FBI, CIA, IRS and KFC rolled into one and run out of a closet in Ottawa. Hey, these people are serious and, they are independent of but have the support of our extensive Canadian military machine so, I’ve I were you I’d um, well, I wouldn’t worry too much.

http://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/ – I googled that link so if I don’t show up to Mass this weekend, please, call my vet.

Reading Owen’s post #4, I thought he was talking about the street not too far from me. It’s officially closed with portable toilets on the street (to avoid green pee in the gutters.)

Thank you for your support, Anchoress!

It looks like my blog’s back (now you can see it, but I can’t post. Earlier on I could post but no one could see it) at least for the time being.

Betsy’s page is still not available.

At 6:45 is there any update on why this has happened?

    Doesn’t sound very good. Anybody?

  • http://badhairblog.blogspot.com Fausta

Apparently it was something to do with their filers, whatever they are.

My blog sometimes comes up with the right sidebar missing but at least you can read the posts.

Betsy’s http://betsyspage.blogspot.com/ format comes up but it’s missing ALL the posts.

Re: 10 and 7, rats. And, I so wanted to believe it was a liberal conspiracy.

  • Joseph

Well, gee. I was going to add the potential links to nefarious people photographing the Sears Tower and scoping out NASCAR races [the source of all that "chatter" down in Taledega, Alabama] but I see Owen is already on the case. Good job, Owen!

    Both are back up

Every day many servers crash all around the web, taking their blogs with them.

Suggest we should avoid conspiracy theories until we have some real proof beyond coincidence. Building a grand conspiracy out of inference is what made Michael Moore and Spike Lee. Let’s not follow that road :).

Besides … has anyone any idea just how hard it would be to shut down every conservative blog on the web permanently?

That is totally beyond the power of any extant government or combination of governments. If I was out to silence conservative blogs I would do so by discrediting them… by feeding them bogus stuff until our side of the blogosphere resembles the fever swamps of the left.
