What it’s like to be Jay Carney Right Now – UPDATED

I say this with a little sympathy and fully recognizing that the being press secretary to any president is a horrible, horrible job. The only job more thankless and trouble-prone would be “Catholic Bishop.”

But I can’t get the image out of my mind — what it must be like to be Carney right now, as he walks toward the White House Press Room:

No sympathy for Jay Carney from me. He can resign tomorrow if the job was too much for him. If he didn’t have such a lousy boss leaving all those rakes on the floor, Carney wouldn’t be stepping on them.
Seriously, if Obama’s fingerprints are found to be on either the Benghazi coverup or the IRS audits of Conservatives, he ought to be impeached. I’ve had it with this fraud.

The cartoon is funny! I am sure that is what it is like to be Jay Carney right now. If he had any sort of moral compass he would resign from his post so that he could quit lying everyday. On that count, I do have sympathy for him—that he doesn’t seem to know that there actually is such a thing as absolute truth, a moral compass, and values that don’t change due to circumstances.

I have sympathy for him. We used to watch him on the McLaughlin Report, years ago. He’s a decent person in a position where it seems he may have to choose between his integrity and his job. I imagine him turning all the mirrors in his house to the wall, this week…..

You could not have found a better “video” to represent the task of Jay Carney if you searched EVERY video ever made. Outstanding young lady, just outstanding

The first image that came to my mind when I saw your lede was a T-shirt I saw many years ago – there was a goldfish, living in blender, whose head looked like it was about to explode. The caption: “I can’t stand the stress!!!”

When I saw your lede, I though of an old cartoon. It was of a goldfish, living in a blender (plugged in, of course). It’s head appeared about to explode, the caption was “I can’t handle the stress!!!” That’s probably Carney’s interior monologue right about now.

I think we all know that Jay Carney’s job is to put a pretty spin on everything that could be associated with the white house. Problem is when there’s so much spinning to be done, one gets dizzy. I don’t feel sympathy for Mr. Carney: he certainly knew where this job would take him, and I don’t agree that being press secretary is a horrible job. Dana Perino was wonderful at it, but then again she didn’t have to lean to the left so much for the spin.

He obviously has made his choice between integrity and his job. He has no more integrity than his boss. I have no sympathy for him. I love this country and he is one of the people trying to tear it apart.
