Fr. Longenecker has invited readers to register for the upcoming day conference on English Catholicism at his parish, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3710 Augusta Road, Greenville, SC.

The conference will host EWTN personalities and authors Joanna Bogle, Joseph Pearce, and Fr. Dwight Longenecker on Saturday, January 21 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

“English Catholicism: Then & Now.” Topics include: English Catholic life in the Middle Ages; Feasts and Seasons; Was Shakespeare Catholic; the Importance of G.K. Chesterton, and more. Registration is just $15, and that includes lunch. Contact the church office at 864-422-1648 to sign up.

He promises that you will learn much about English history, your faith, and English literature. You’ll meet lots of interesting and fun people and you’ll hear real English accents.

I’m a sucker for English accents so naturally I can’t stay away. I jest; of course I’m only going for the intellectual experience. I suspect Digi will bring her monocle and top hat though. She’s such a show off.
