In case you missed the happy news…

The Susan G Komen Foundation has pulled their funding to Planned Parenthood. It’s not like Planned Parenthood provides breast cancer screening or mammograms, so what exactly has Komen been funding all this time? Well, at least they are no longer doing it now.

Hurray! My mother in law is a breast cancer survivor, and has always asked us to NOT buy anything with a pink ribbon on it that is from the Komen Foundation.  This is excellent news.  Now can we work on getting rid of the “Save the Boobies” t shirts and bumper stickers?

Yes, ditto on the save the boobies and ta-tas merch! It’s so vulgar!

I’d like to add: also note how Komen states that they want to keep a good

    > relationship with Planned Parenthood, and that this decision not to fund

    PP

    > will only remain in effect if the Congressional investigation into PP

    rules

    > against PP. If the investigation rules in PP’s favor, Komen will resume

    > funding of PP.
