Winning At Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day …

… Did you get some Chick-Fil-A yesterday? I tried. I really did, but I couldn’t get in the joint due to the crowds. Seriously. When I tried at lunch the line stretched 3 blocks down a major street in Charlotte. When I went back for dinner at 8pm I encountered the same wonderful problem.

A few noted a slight media bias by failing to report the thousands and thousands of people showing up at local Chick-Fil-A restaurants. It’s to be expected from the MSM. After all they missed the one million ninjas that stealthy crept through our nation’s capitol earlier this year.

The local news here did a fair job. By fair I mean at least they mentioned the event. It really was hard to ignore. All day the local radio stations were forced to include “Chicken reports” into the their traffic alerts. And the pictures pouring in from all over the country. Wow.

One might actually start to believe that the majority of the country’s population still supports Christian values, not just “a small bigoted minority”. Imagine that.

We’re here. We’re Christian. Get Over It.

Yes, we got our chicken.  We waited in line for 90 minutes, but the staff was efficient, cheerful and pleasant (as always) and the dining room was spotless.  The line snaked through the dining room and out the door.  The drive thru traffic blocked a major thoroughfare and went around the building twice.  When people were directed to the end of the line (which was not apparent from inside the dining room), people just smiled broadly and said, “Thank you”.  Here in Columbus, the local news did a pretty good job covering things.  Oh, and the food was yummy.

The Daly Show-Thu, Aug 2nd is about the Chick-fil-A controversy-It shows video of the hundreds of people waiting in line at various Chick-fil-As on Appreciation Day. It’s on Hulu and it’s pretty good!  Bonus footage: making fun of Rahm Emanuelle.
