The year 1975 was a critical point in African-American Muslim history.  It was the first Saviour’s day, an annual gathering of the Nation of Islam,which took place following the departure of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. In attendance at this event are Imam Warith Deen Muhammad, boxing champion Muhammad Ali, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Imam Siraj Wahaj and many other black Muslims. Let’s examine the speeches and thoughts of various Muslims at this historic occasion.
