Great news! According to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, President Donald Trump will become the first sitting president to address the March For Life. The event, which has been held every year since 1974, allows pro-life advocates protests the “Roe v. Wade” decision which allows unfettered abortion across our nation. But no President has ever addressed the gathering, even the ones who were, in fact, pro-life.
“On Friday, we’re excited to announce, that the president will become the first sitting president to address the March for Life from the White House LIVE via satellite,” Sanders said, announcing the break in historical Presidential distance from the gathering.

Wonderful! Conservative blogger Matt Walsh (who is typically no Trump fan) praised the President. He wrote, “This is great news and I commend @realDonaldTrump for this. It’s also quite a shame that no other ‘pro-life president’ ever had the guts to actually address the marchers.”

When questioned, he clarified his tweet. “To clarify: he’ll be the first to address live on camera. Other presidents have played pre-recorded remarks or called in via telephone, terrified to show their face. Reagan called in on speaker phone, refusing to be there in person… Reagan called in through speaker phone, refusing to show his face. Bush called in while he was thousands of miles away. Both men took pains to distance themselves and avoid media attention. Neither appeared live in front of the Marchers despite 8 chances to do so.”
When someone said that perhaps previous Presidents didn’t want to burden the pro-life marchers with additional security needed in such an appearance, Walsh refused to let them off the hook.
“Trump is solving that problem by addressing them live via satellite from the Rose Garden. It’s hard to believe that he’s the first president to realize that was an option.”
This is a great day for the Pro-Life movement.
