Kids thrilled by less than an inch of snow but disappointed school is still open. Me? Im embarrassed that UK closes for such minor weather. #

Just made myself a potential martyr for common sense: cleared the snow outside my house. I could now be sued in the UK, but not if I didn't! #
I should point out that this is the first time in my life I have ever cleared snow. In the UK we basically do not clear any pavements. #
Last year I slipped over twice, once on a major shopping road, and several people died from snow-related falls. Clear your pavement people! #
