The Trump Cult Is A False Religion Infiltrating The Church

Let’s take this up a notch: Trump has tapped into that religious area of the brain so much that most American Christians have confused Trumpism for their own faith. The church now worships at his feet.

How will you Americans ever deprogram such a large portion of your population who have become devotees of a cult?

If I am wrong about the church being hopelessly compromised by the Trump virus, please demonstrate it by sharing a link to Evangelicals criticising this man and refusing to endorse him for president.

Well a commentator right here on Patheos on my last post said it more clearly than I did. He explained that some people’s brains appears to be responding to Trump in the same way they do to religion:

There is no logical basis for his support. It’s pointless to present these airtight, undeniable reasons why Trump is perhaps the worst person on the planet. Every hundred years or so there comes an evildoer who God has very regrettably given the ability to override people’s basic senses of logic, reason and critical thinking in nearly half the population. Trump is perhaps currently the unique earthly human capable of such massive deceit on such a large scale. To someone fallen victim to his charms, your arguments will sound like nails on a chalkboard and will prompt an angry defensive response resulting in their further rabid allegiance to this revolting error of nature. The evidence is both ubiquitous and crystal clear; Trump has literally done nothing this campaign to earn anybody’s vote. In fact he has given countless reasons why not to vote for him but his support is unshakeable. Harris in the other hand has done everything perfectly since Biden’s withdrawal yet her support is only equal to his. There is no logic or reason.

Churches should be sounding the alarm; religion is processed by the same areas of the brain as is the illogical desire to vote for Trump and is one of the only things that stands a chance to perhaps dissuade these deluded masses from destroying their country.

There is a video of someone literally praying to Trump going round the internet. But I genuinely believe many American Christians actually do worship this bizarre man. They are blind to the fact that almost every day he says a new scandalous thing, is caught in a major lie, a financial scandal emerges (including stealing from a children’s charity!), or his former colleagues issue dire warnings about the risk he poses to democracy. Any one of these outrageous things would have instantly disqualified any previous political candidate in the Western World. Why is he given a pass? What would ever stop his followers devotion?

I will go a step further even than my commentator and say I believe that Trump is the leader of a giant cult. He makes his followers come out into the desert and then strands them there because he hasn’t paid the bill for the busses. He gets them to devote songs to him. He always speaks of himself as the greatest one and the saviour. He openly talks of using the milatary on his opponents, and cancelling the license of CBS because he doesn’t like the way THEY decided to edit their interview with Kamala Harris.

The guy is clearly loosing the plot but still nobody cares.

The racism, the horrible language about women, the crazy economy crashing plan to mass deport millions of immigrants who are holding up the economy. The cosying up to Putin….the list goes on and on.

Sorry but all of this must surely outweigh any valid concerns people have about Kamala Harris? But the cult goes on.

THERE IS ONLY ONE SAVIOUR – JESUS CHRIST

The only way to stop the juggernaut of the cult of Trump is for him to be roundly beaten. The only person that can do this is Kamala Harris. You do not have to like everything about her to believe that you need to vote for her.
