It seems I am not alone after all in my criticism of Blunkett. The Telegraph reports “Blunkett ‘ruined fireman’s chance of fair retrial'” The Times calls him the legal equivalent of a football holligan and according to Bill Cameron, he is quite simply ‘at it again’. If I was an influential American blogger I would raise a blogging storm and get a resignation out of this! Read more

This is the strangest thing. There is another Warnock blogger – one David Warnock. What is more he describes himself as a ‘student minister’ and was recently staying near my house! Anyway, he is now on my blogroll- do pay him a visit. He has linked to a couple of my posts and takes issue with my querying wether the Blogosphere is beyond control. My conclusion on that is perhaps this is an argument about words. The Oxford English Dictionary... Read more

Memo to all famous or nearnly famous people out there (and yes that includes ex-presidents of the USA). If anyone approaches you from Panorama to be intereviewed consider your response carefully. In a result that is all too familiar for anyone who has ever watched Panorama, Clinton is apparently given such a grilling that he loses his temper with David Dimbleby during a BBC television interview to be broadcast this week when he is repeatedly quizzed about his affair with... Read more

Am I the only one who finds Blunketts interferences in the process of individual cases a little concerning? Whatever the rights and wrongs of the case of the holigan who escaped jail surely it is not right for a politician to pronounce he is trying to ‘nail’ someone is it? Whatever happened to the separation between the politicians and the judiciary? O yes, I forgot like many things we fudge that a bit over here. Mind you, Blunket seems to... Read more

the evangelical outpost: talks about the different types of political blog and then says: “The blogosphere, after all, is still a grassroots medium. And, like all such organizations, it’s ultimately beyond the ability to be controlled by a central figure.” I am not sure I fully agree with that statement. People like instapundit do a good job of controlling the blogosphere, and I am reading Mandellas book- in the end he sure led the ANC which was a grassroots organisation.... Read more

Jollyblogger: reports ‘….error is truth disconnected from the larger web of truth. Strangely enough, I think error is often a result of an effort to be logically consistent. For instance, Calvinists who try to be logically consistent with their doctrine of predestination often end up in hyper-Calvinism or some type of fatalism or determinism. This is the kind of thing that gives rise to that (in)famous exchange between William Carey and his church leaders, when they told him “young man,... Read more

I am delighted to report that Jollyblogger seems to be climbing the ranks over at the ecosystem. Just look at the Blogdom of God list over on your right. The system ranks sites by their link popularity. I can honestly say I hope he overtakes me in the listings as his blog is FAR more deserving than mine. He has even just made an excelent point for my side on the subject of our debate! Read more

What is it with the roads this week? Has it been this crazy on them the last few weeks whilst I have been galavanting across the world? Has it always been this bad and I have just forgotten? We seem to be in the middle of some kind of heat-induced madness where accidents, lorry fires, the need to suddenly resurface a road during rush hour and broken traffic lights are uniting to wage war on the working population. I hope... Read more
