We’ve not just found it tough to trust our pastors and lay-leaders but, we’ve begun to dig deeper into the credibility of scripture… I mean, Can the Bible Be Trusted?

It’s arguable that the bible was never fully canonized and that it’s an ever-changing document being tweaked, corrected, and translated still to this day. Men over the course of centuries have added and deleted verses, and entire books. Fueling the debates in regards to whether or not the bible is inerrant or if it’s infallible.

Words matter. And, what pastors say on Sunday morning can either empower or oppress. When we become more devoted to an institution than Jesus, it then becomes hard for us to trust and follow our pastors.

Cover-ups having to do with abuse have become more widespread. It’s sadly nothing new; it’s just harder for the Church to keep a secret.
