Welcome to My Blog

Welcome to My Blog March 15, 2012

You may know me as a daughter of Sarah Palin or the pregnant teenager that created a political controversy during the last Presidential cycle. But a lot has happened since then.

Now, I’m mom trying to make a good life for a rambunctious little boy who loves to play hockey and ride on the snow machine. Over the past few years, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve learned some lessons, and I’m trying to be a good mom. After a few years of entering the public conversation in a very dramatic fashion, we’re doing well. We have a “fixer-upper” in Alaska which I’m remodeling, and we’re trying to forge a life for ourselves.

Yes, I may have a mom who’s quite famous and a dad who’s an Iron Dog champion, but I’m like many American moms. I worry about the best way to raise my child, am concerned about making sure he has the best care, and am trying to make it to my job on time without getting pulled over for speeding.

As you can tell, I’ve also decided to write a blog. Here I’d love to keep a record of the things that happen in my life and also to share them with my far-flung friends. Wasilla is my home, of course, but so many of you showed support to me as I struggled with a pregnancy I hadn’t planned, supported my mother when she ran for Vice President, voted for me when I was on Dancing with the Stars, and snatched up my book to make it a best seller. It’s been my privilege to get to know some of you – on the campaign trail, on my book tour, and even on Facebook. I hope you consider this blog a way for you to be a part of my life in Alaska without having to put on more layers, buy hand warmers, or wear boots!

Here on Lake Lucille, life is thankfully more ordinary than it has been the past few years. If you’d like to share in our lives by following my new blog, leave a comment below to automatically receive a weekly e-zine with my best entries! (Also, if you haven’t already, fan me on Facebook here!) I’m thinking of posting a photo of Tripp with a Mohawk, doing some very fun giveaways, and maybe even comment on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.

I hope you’ll join me!

Stand up and refuse to be beaten down- for starters.

  • Mary GW

Love that you will be blogging. I am a grandma now but I was once also a young girl many moons ago with an unplanned pregnancy. I admire your honesty and your strength! Enjoy your little boy… they grow so fast!!

  • Ralph DeNofio

I have the utmost respect for you and your family Bristol. I saw your Mom on the campaign speak at Shippiensburg University. I cannot understand the lefts vapid hatred of your family, and particularly your Mom other than perhaps you all represent many of the values that have made America such a great country for which they are so hell bent on changing. God bless you and your family. I look forward to keeping up with your blog, and I still feel you should have won DWTS’s!

  • Glenn Thomas

Way to go and best wishes on the new adventure!

  • Lena Cooksey

Yes Bristol, I would love to read your adventure in life, you are a strong young woman taking on a challenge being a single mom, but you have strong genes and can do a wonderful job, as for your Mother I have loved her from day one, when a person is picked on and degraded as she has been, we know that people like that lack intelligence, and probably are jealous of just how intelligent she is. Hold your head high and keep up the good work…as long as you feel good inside who cares what the world thinks…Blessings

  • Looking forward to reading more entries! I got to see your mom twice at 2 events in CA! 🙂

  • Desi

Love it! Keep working hard and doing great things!

  • Chris Medlock

Good luck with the blog. And if their is a house for sale near by,let me know. I would love to move me and my family up there. I have two girls who would be perfect for babysitting. Lol.

  • Alexandra

Your book was so inspiring! To open your heart and personal life to the world was VERY brave. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a fan of you by any means until curiosity brought me to reading your book. After reading your side of the story rather than listening to the way the media portrayed you and your family completely changed my opinion of you and the political controversy with your mother. I also came to relate to you on so many levels more recently, being from a strong Christian home, family & background & getting pregnant as an unwed 19 year old. I’ve come to realize everyone is capable of all different kinds of sins (even as strong Christians), it’s just the consequences are more severe for some than others. I think mistakes define who you are. Just keep trusting in the Lord~ Stay Strong in your faith. xoxo, Allie

  • kim

    I love this

  • Charles Shappley

    Dear Miss Palin,
I can’t tell you what a joy it will be to share your experiences. I always thought you were a very lovely young lady now woman. I have always thought you handled yourself with the press very well. I enjoyed you on Dancing with The Stars. I live in Memphis,TN. Have you ever had the chance to come to Memphis? If you ever do I would be more than happy to show you my city.

  • Bristol,
I want to wish all the best for you and your son. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting your Mom three times but unfortunately, was unable to attend your book signing in Arizona. I hope all is going well. May your life be filled with joy!
God bless you and your family,

  • Jan Page

    Hi Bristol!

Many blessings to your and your family. Hope to make it to Alaska one day to visit that beautiful state! Your mom is a great inspiration and please send her love from Texas 🙂

The hatred towards your family is really unbelievable..please know you have much support out there and love conquers evil so let any harsh words fall at the feet of the Lord and He will guide you into His peace that passes all understanding. Look forward to your blog. Keep up the good work!

  • Samantha

Really looking forward to your blog! Keep up the great work! Good luck with the house remodeling! I wish I got to live somewhere like that.

  • Shari in Texas

Im a big fan of your mom. I attended several events during the last couple of years for which she was the keynote speaker. Her love of family, her faith, and her patriotism emanate from her.

Glad you are doing so well. I look forward to reading your blogs. Blessings to you and that precious litte boy; the entire Palin family is often in my prayers.

  • Kristy

  • Maleena

Bristol… you are doing a great job as a mom. You did have a great teacher:) We all make mistakes in parenting ( there are no guide books) but we learn from them and move forward. I have supported your mom from day one and will continue to do so. All in your family keep doing what you’re doing. Keep your faith in God, Keep fighting the good fight, keep taking care of family. Don’t ever forget there are many that support your family. Have a blessed day:)

Bristol, I think you are adorable. I am so proud of you, and I love your mom. She is beautiful, and smart, and the left just can’t handle that. (that includes some of the right that leans left) I always knew what was going on and it drove me crazy. You guys hang in there we need you VOICE!

  • Glynis Ritter

  • Patty Sickles

well said Bristol, I think you are a very well rounded young lady, we all have things in our lives where maybe we didn’t make the best choices, but we got past it and grew stronger because of it. Tripp is a very lucky boy to have a mom like you.I admire you so much. I don’t agree with a lot of your moms views, but I admire her strength and her love for her family. God bless you and tripp in the adventure called life.

  • Yikes, what a miles stone for me at 66yrs, my first experience on any blog, so glad that it is yours! I met your Mom on the ’08 campaign trail, had a brief chat with her and gave her 3 scriptures that I put together and pray for your family everyday: No weapon formed against you will prosper, every tongue that raises up in judgemnent will be put to naught, God will contend with those who contend with you and vengeance is His, He will repay.
I am sorry that I missed you and your family when you were in Knoxville. Please don’t judge us by that UT hate filled- rascal. You can bet that he learned his behavior from his parents.

  • Jennifer Warren

Love you and your family! Loved you on Dancing With The Stars! And I hope one day your mother is President!!!

  • Hilary

Congrats on the blog! I’m excited to continue reading it. Lots of love and support to you and your family. God bless

  • Bristol,
I’m so glad to read that you’re doing well! I love your mom and therefore, followed you on DWTS, FB, and bought your book, which was one of the best I’ve read (and I read ALOT).

You are doing a fantastic job – especially for all the mess your family has been put through.

Keep your eyes on the prize (Christ Jesus) and you’re going to be just fine!

Blessings to you and your baby boy,

  • Hi Bristol Tripp is real cute.

  • Bristol, just keep living life and doing what makes YOU happy. That’s all that matters in life, not what anyone else thinks of you, your son or the rest of the family.

I live just about 15 miles up the road from you all and I have to say, I was so happy to hear you were coming back to Wasilla to live. I know those of us around here are biased but this is a great town to raise a family, little Tripp is Alaska Grown all the way!

Welcome home, and congrats on the new blog, cant wait to read your entries!

  • Andrea

    Yay for blogs!

  • Amie

I think that you and your family are great people that unfortunately have to put up with more then you should. I love that with all that gets thrown at you, you keep fighting back!

  • Juan Zermeno

I read your book. I have a lot of respect for you. Without knowing you personally, I can tell you are an awesome mom, friend, person and for someone lucky, an awesome girlfriend or wife. I was very sad to hear some PEOPLE did not appreciate you, such a shame. Take care and have fun!

  • Bristol,
Thank you for staying strong and for being a great role model for teens like myself. Yes, you have made mistakes, we all have, but the way you have overcome them is absolutely amazing. I look forward to reading your blog!
    Madeleine McAulay

  • Lynn

Hey girl I too am a teen mom I had my oldest son Trevor when I was 19. Then I got lucky and met my now husband of 5 years and we got pregnant quick. Even though I have his support now the first 2 years as a single mom was tough. I love your family and I think your a strong woman who will raise your son to be a great man. Your an inspiration to many, I wish you and your family the best!

  • speppers69

We’re very proud of you for making the best of your situations and taking care of your child on your own. You have a few more advantages than the average teen mom but you’re not flaunting those advantages and you’re taking responsibility for your family. That is an inspiration to other young mothers. You have learned to have extremely thick-skin like your mom and it shows. Don’t let the negative people get you down. We make our own happiness. Life isn’t easy but you have a wonderful family and support system. We hope you can continue to be a role model for young people to learn from. It’s okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. We ALL do. Congratulations and continued success in your life and family. (And a little nudge to someone you call “mom” that her country needs her desperately would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise we may not have a country for Tripp to grow up in sadly.)

  • millie harden

    Hi Bristol!

You have no idea how excited I am to see you are going to have a blog. Now
we can hear from you about you and your son Tripp (and Trig) rather than
from the media. As for the movie, Game Change, from the time I heard it
was going to be filmed I knew I would not look at it. Yes, and I agree your
Mom is far more prettier and smarter than those who try to play her.

I voted for your Mom and John McCain and followed her and the family after
that. When I heard you were going to be on Dance with the Stars I followed
you and voted for you from day one. Also thought you should have won. Your
footwork was outstanding and better than any of the others. Following that
show has put me with a large fan club and we have still been following you
and your whole family. Looking forward to reading about your journey on
here. Keep up the good work as Tripp’s Mom. We love you and Tripp.
First time I have ever been apart of a fan club, wanted to support you and
Tripp anyway I could as did the others who are members wanted to.

  • sharon

Best wishes on your newest adventure!

  • Wheel01

Looking forward to reading about how well you are doing. I admire your family and am so thankful that our liberal friends have not discouraged you or the rest of your family. I am sure there have been times where you have wanted to just cover your head and hide from all the hateful things people have said but you and your family have held your heads high and I am so proud of all of you. Just remember that you have a lot of unknown people out here cheering for you. God bless your family and god bless the USA.

  • Lindsay T.

I loved your book… i really related to everything you went through with Levi. I admire how strong you have been through everything. Thanks for staying true to yourself through out everything.. your a great role model to me and i know a lot of other women!

  • Cathie

As a single mother myself, I really have to say that I admire you so much, Bristol! You could have made it so easy for yourself and took the easy way out of your pregnancy, but you chose LIFE! And look what you have! I am sure this is one of the best decisions you will ever make. God bless you, Tripp and all your family!

  • Daron

Bristol you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you and Tripp. God Bless you, Tripp, your Mom, Dad, Willow, Piper and Trig.

  • Chrissey Baker

You are dear to us all Bristol! May the Lord continue to bless you, your adorable son and family! God bless!!!!!

God bless you and Tripp, your brother and sisters, also your mom and dad.

  • Heather Hunsberger

I think so much of you and your family! It will be great to follow your blog!
    In Christ,

  • Rebecca

You are a beautiful woman who seems to have a heart of gold that was thrust into the spotlight during one of the most personal situations a girl could experience. You handled it with maturity and poise and I have a great respect for you. You took your experience and used it to help so many girls across the country and around the world. You are a true inspiration to many. You were adorable on DWTS and you grew so much. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to coming along for the ride 🙂

  • Tom Shipp

God bless you lovely lady. We love your mom Sarah and follow her on twitter all the time. Like so many others I can not believe the way she has been treated.

  • Carol

    Hi Bristol,
I am a year younger than your mom, and I too was a single mom at 17. My oldest son is now 29. I also have a 21 yr old son, and my youngest son is 10, born on April 18th, just like Trig.
I always tease myself that I should write a book about my life. I could really tell some stories!
Your mom is such an inspiration to me. I used to wonder whether I was a republican or democrat. I never followed politics until August 2008, when your mom stepped on that stage and gave that speech, right then I knew I was a conservative republican.
My twitter handle is Palin Republican. Ask your mom if she got the phase “Rage against the machine” from my tweet I sent her last month of the song “Take the Power Back”, by the group called “Rage Against The Machine”. Hehe. Every time she says that, I think of the tweet I sent her 2 or 3 days before the first time she said it.
Come on down to FL with Tripp and soak up the sunshine!

Good luck to you and everything you do!

    • I think you have done a good job we all make mistake that is the way we learn but just don’t make the same mistake twice & has your mother I think she is a great lady & beauty also like you good like you & your family and god bless

  • philip moon

  • CJ

I’m so excited about your Blog and upcoming series! It’s always such a joy to hear from you whether you’re being interviewed, writing from your heart, or posting the most adorable pics of your beautiful family! From the moment I saw you on DWTS, you stole my heart and as a single mom, myself, I know how difficult and challenging it is to raise a precious child alone, but, what an awesome mom you are! 🙂 GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY as you continue to both serve the LORD and inspire so many. oxoxo

  • Mark

Hi, Bristol. Congrats on setting up your new blog, and I look forward to reading your posts. You have an amazing family, and it’s nice to see you continuing to live your life despite the constant haranguing from the loonies on the left. • Emilee Candelaria

Can’t wait for all the adventures 🙂

  • Nancy Henderson

You have handled your push into the world limelight beautiful and I loved seeing you on Dancing With The Stars. I won’t be going to see undefeated because I don’t want anymore lies about your beautiful mom. I won’t perpetuate evil and the left is downright evil. May God Bless and Keep You.

    • bellagrazi

Nancy, you want to see “The Undefeated”. That is the documentary on Sarah based on truth. It’s “Game Change” you want to avoid. A Hollywood movie based on lies.

  • jo

I am an AZ great gramma and I love your entire family. God Bless you all!

    A Butterfly’s Lesson

One day, a small opening appeared in a cocoon; a man sat and watched for the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.

Then, it seems to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could not go any further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a withered body, it was tiny and shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would open, enlarge and expand, to be able to support the butterfly’s body, and become firm.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and his goodwill did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life.

If we were allowed to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Never been able to fly.

I asked for Strength… and I was given difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for Wisdom… and I was given problems to solve.

I asked for prosperity… and I was given a brain and brawn to work.

I asked for Courage….. and I was given obstacles to overcome.

I asked for Love… and I was given troubled people to help.

I asked for Favors… And I was given Opportunities.

    “I received nothing I wanted… But I received EVERYTHING I needed.”

Live life without fear, confront all obstacles and know that you can overcome them.

Have a Blessed day, and remember that you are special!

  • Scott Forcier

I’ll look forward to reading your Blog…….Pls keep talking from your Heart & Soul.
God Bless you and your family

  • Bristol,

Congratulations on your new blog site. I am glad that things are going well for you and Tripp. Rest assured my staff and myself will be there for you and your family. Always.

  • Myrna Beeber

I admire your courage and tenacity. I have a granddaughter facing the challenges you faced. I need to buy her your book. Keep strong and hug that lil man for me.

  • Christine

Am looking forward to reading your blog. I’m a big fan of your mom’s.

I admire the fact that your parents support you and your siblings and the choices you’ve made in this life. I try to do the same with my girls. It takes great courage as a parent to not fall in line with the idea of one path to success.

You’re free to be, to make your choices and make mistakes and learn from them. That’s a gift from your mom and dad. You’re very lucky to have them, but you already know that.

    And Tripp is adorable.

  • Good luck with blogging! 🙂

  • Misty

I didn’t know your show was starting so soon! Congrats and look forward to the ezine

  • Welcome to Patheos, Bristol. I look forward to reading your perspectives in the F&F portal.

  • Skipper

    Hi Bristol,
It’s great to know that you are not only surviving, but that you are prospering, in spite of all the liberal haters who have attacked you and your family. God Bless You!

  • newton

Best of luck to you, Bristol.

I can see that you have some seriously strong genes in you! 🙂

  • Helen

    Congrats with the blog, Bristol.

You and your family is what makes America beautiful.

    Love you all

  • Leslie Wagner

Bristol thank you to you and your family for all the grief each of you have taken on behalf of all American’s. Your Mom is a lot of power packed into a small person, but look out for the punch, and that punch is what scares the heck out of this administration and liberals in general. IamAndrewBreitbart

  • Welcome to the blogosphere. I look forward to reading your thoughts on raising (and especially educating) your boy.

  • Kelly Brennen

Hey Bristol, I’m so glad you are doing this. I’m the lady who mails large amounts of chocolates to you and your family every year at Christmas….Kelly’s Candies. I’ve been a huge fan of your Mom and the whole family since McCain introduced her to America. I voted like crazy for you on Dancing with the Stars…also loved your book. Enjoy your blog and have fun with that beautiful son of yours!

  • Rob Wardle

I was a fan of your Mom a year before the nomination and you are a role model for so many. Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to “joining” you guys in Alaska (virtually).

  • aj4coco

Looking forward to reading of your adventures.

  • Misty

I didn’t watch Game Change either. Not interested in that movie.

There’s nothing about your show on Lifetime Channel’s website yet. Is that adorable pic of you and Tripp for the show?

I saw a post on a blog about you were part of the Running With the Reindeer event? I hope it’s on your show!

  • Welcome to the Palin army! lol

The Palin army is made up of writers and bloggers who have been out there fighting for your mom since she hit the national stage.

Whether your mom knows it or not, she has been our leader through her Facebook notes and tweets. We have been taking on the mainstream media and the lying liberal left to set the record straight.

It is a thrill and an honor to have you in the army!

  • Steve Altman

Nice blog! Best of all life has to you and Tripp.

  • Carol Dreeszen

Bristol..I think this is an awesome idea for you to keep in touch with America! Lord knows we can use all the inspiration that we can get now days and you and your Mom and your whole family are an inspiration for America!!! This is a wonderful way to let people keep in touch with a little part of your world that gives us all hope! Thanks so much for doing this for all of us!! God Bless You and Your whole Family!

  • Sue

I love your mama’s refusal to be beat down. Your mama’s got some guts. I don’t mean to bring up bad memories- but you handled yourself really well with that hater whacko in W. Hollyweird. Chip off the old block- girls got guts like her mama was what I was thinking. Most of us don’t know you, but we were proud of the way you kept it together without decking the scum. (although I think maybe you could have took him.)

  • Best of luck to you Bristol, and God bless your little child.

  • Looking forward to reading your blog. =:o]

  • Nicki Scroggin

great blog Bristol… love your family… your mom is my inspiration… am so proud of all you have accomplished and am looking forward to reading more of your blog posts…

  • Kimberly Lindsey

I so look forward to reading your blogs. I am happy to see that you and your son are doing so well (I never doubted you would….your parents appear to have raised you all so well). I especially look forward to you telling us about your remodeling trials and triumphs. It’s always exciting to see something create a dream for themselves.

  • Mandi

Congrats for keeping your head high and never changing who you are to fit what the popular public wanted you to be. You are an amazingly strong woman! Looking forward to your blog entries!

  • Maria Nell

So excited to follow your blog!

  • Elissa

    Love your blog Bristol!

  • Tina

Welcome to the blogging world, Bristol. Incidentally, I also fall into the category of special needs mom. My son Matthew is 13 and has autism.

  • Kristi Honas

so glad you’re doing well! Never missed an episode of DWTS when you were partnered with Mark, he’s my favorite too. I have a signed copy of his CD Hurt Love Box and just love popping it in my player every now and again. He’s got a great voice. I saw you recently in DC at CPAC with your mom and Willow, you looked fantastic! Keep writing your blog to keep your fans and your moms supporters (which I’m one from Iowa) informed on how you’re doing. Remodeling a house is a lot of fun, alot of hard work but in the end it’s worth sitting back to enjoy what you’ve done. I’ve done three houses and love the finished product every time.
God Bless You and Tripp, your mom and ALL the Palin family! (Give a hug to Trig-what cutie he is)

  • Rachelle Channel

Bristol, You are to be admired! So excited to follow your blog. 🙂

  • Brandi Shultz

You have made yourself a very positive example. Your son will be very proud of his mother.

  • LOVE you and your family. I’m proud of you for taking a stance against all of the nay-sayers out there. Keep up the good work!

  • Good for you – starting a blog!

Looks like you have enough comments to keep you busy – but consider joining The Blogging Buddies Social Network

You can set up a profile page, and add your blog link to a group. There are also groups for Facebook & Twitter so leave those links as well!

If your profile page has a picture and blog link, you can become a featured member!

BTW…I’m getting a new Kindle in the mail any day now..the first book I’ll get (after the Bible) is yours!

    You go girl!

  • Bristol, you really are an amazing young woman – you’ve made a few mistakes, it’s true. But is there any among us who can say that we ourselves have not? I think it’s great that you’re smart enough to use your past experiences as a way to speak to young people and warn them against making similar mistakes, as well as turning those mistakes for good (speaking against premarital sex, but encouraging a choice for life when pregnancy results). Your little boy is blessed to have you for a mom and your parents for grandparents – I have no worries that you will do well in the future and be a witness for God’s redemptive work in all our lives. I look forward to reading more of your blogging efforts! 🙂

  • Barri

So interesting . Thanks for sharing you are the most unpretentious person . The blog about Obama not calling you is perfect . A role model for honesty with just the right touch of grace and dignity and suddenly what might have started out like a mistake is a blessing . Miracles happen in mysterious ways . With a step back to behold what creation is happened it is like the Lord said on the seventh day , It is good . A blessing for me and lots of others it looks like to . Thanks it is uplifting .

  • Molly

    Hi Bristol!!!

    Way to go

  • Tracey

So thrilled you have a blog! Keep up the great work! Love you and the whole family!

  • Go for it girl. The world needs honest leaders. When you have time, get in line. Then bring another up behind you. Thanks to you and your folks.

  • Bryan

Keep up the good mom part of your life, that is a huge undertaking. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your moms TV series and enjoyed seeing all of you and your sibblings interacting and exploring the beautiful state of Alaska. I look forward to reading your blog in the future.

  • Best wishes on your blog and sign me up for e-zine.

  • Amber Free

Het Bristol! I absolutely love your family and what you stand for. And after being lucky enough to take a vacation to Alaska, I’m in love with your state!

  • Kim Waller

Would love keeping up with you and your family. Loved the Alaska reality show:) Showed what a REAL family you all are, I think people tend to forget that when they throw out hateful comments! They wouldn’t want the same for their families!

You and your family are very strong people. Glad you are opening up your life to us in your blog. Good luck. 🙂

  • So glad to see you have kept your head up in the midst of media mayhem! 🙂

  • Carol Gillespie

Thanks for blogging. You are an extremely brave young woman and will succeed in whatever you set your mind to. Your mom and dad should be very proud of you.

  • Carla

Looking forward to keeping up with your blog.

  • Jodi

Good for you Bristol. You obviously are a fabulous mom. Tripp looks healthy and very happy. God bless you and your family!!

  • Jesse

Hey there Bristol, can’t wait to join you on your blogging journey 🙂

  • Tricia Dimsdale

I love hearing what you’re up to. I can’t wait to keep up with your blog. You seem like just another girl, someone who I’d probably be friends with.

  • Angela

You really have some growing to do… try working on that instead of seeking attention from the public, they do not have your best interest in mind can’t you tell from the posts… find some confidence in your self, that was the first thing I taught my daughter, your mother should have done that for you … as for the president calling you and owing you something, your memory must be short, he was the first to stand up for you when you were hiding your unborn son in shame behind your baby brother and his blanket…remember? We do, the president was the first to say children and families are off limit and supported you and your mother and your pregnancy. okay now… all eyes on you, what do you have to offer now that they are, just as I thought Nothing.

  • I still have the special magazines that came out during the time Sarah was running for V.P. I adore your family and all the things you do together, especially those that we will never be a part of. The Bible says, “He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone” and also, “Whatsover a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” My maternal grandfather always said, “A bird didn’t fly so high that it didn’t have to come down to nest.” We have seen many fall that had lived so high and you are young enough that you will see Bill Maher fall. God’s timing is not ours. Much love to you and your family.

  • Charity

Looking forward to reading your blog!

  • C. Thayer

Do you think you are so special that you deserve an apology from the president. You need to get over it young lady and concentrate on the important things in life. Neither the president, nor anyone for that matter, owes you an apology for what anyone else may have said about/to you to hurt your feelings. Grow up and get on with your life for crying out loud!

  • Taylor

Good luck! You’re a geat person from a great family. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say.

  • Carolyn Ryan

We are so proud of you..

  • Joan

Our creator God has given each of us a conscience to know good and evil even if we do not know Him. Those who continually do evil lose their ability to do right or know they are doing wrong because they do not care if they hurt people or not. And they try to get many others to follow them. They are the arm of the devil seeking those they may devour. But rest assured their time will come. God wil not let them go on forever. But He paints those wo tolerate the evil just as evil. A day of reckoning will come. But take heart today knowing that God will never give you more than you can handle and He has a special place for all who believe He sent Jesus to pay for all our sins. In this period of Lent we look to the cross from here our help comes. In one of my favorite hymns we ae told to “Take it to the Lord in prayer,” I wil be praying for you, your son, your brother, your mother and your entire family that you all be blessed with the strength to suffer through this time of tribulation. May He draw you closer to him so he can wrap His arms around you and give you peace.

  • JanieL

Dear, Sweet Bristol: I apologize for those human beings who live in glass houses. Sweet one, every single one of those stone throwers have made just as many errors in life as have you and I; theirs just aren’t public information. You are an amazing woman, mother and daughter and sister. You have great courage, Bristol; you are much like your parents in that.
The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
and be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

  • Jeanie

Hi Bristol! A fellow FReeper just gave me the link to your blog and of course I had to sign up.

I just wanted to say any attack against you and your family members, especially your mom, my Sarah, I take personally. I had all my “eggs” in her basket and when she announced “no”, I was devastated. I cried, threw myself around (typically girly) and felt I had no where to go.

After the initial shock, I started to look at the others and landed on Herman Cain. But of course, Conservatives CANNOT have a woman nor a black man as President, that belongs to the commies, so they took him out as well.

I know your mom prayed for the right thing to do ….although we may not understand why He does what He does, we know it’s for the best. Most times, doing the right thing is such a bitter pill to swallow (look what happened to you & your mom)…….however, truth, light and His love ALWAYS shines in the end.

Glad to see you and your little one are doing so well. May God continue to bless you and your family.

P.S…. brokered convention is all I’m sayin.

  • Chris Carroll

You are a very articulate young woman and give me hope the younger generation gets it!

  • Patricia Ritter

You and your family are so special…. I have been following everything your mom and you do since she ran for V.P. I had the honor of meeting her at a book signing in Daytona Beach FL., have my picture with her and have read all of her books. I too have a Special child, he is my best friend and has brought much joy to my life, he is 42 yrs. old and she took time to speak to me about this and told me to give him a hug from Sarah. This was the highlight of my life , the top of my Bucket list and I just want you to know how amazing you and your whole family are. You are in my prayers always, you are a GREAT MOM, and you had a Wonderful Teacher…… This great granny loves you All………..

  • Beth Hinton Hopkins

I am so sorry for the cruel thing speople have posted about you and your brother. How dare they say such things. God will keep them in mind and they will have to answer to such nasty thoughts. Your family is great. God bless you!

  • Clela Compton

So sad that peoples hearts are filled with hatred Bristol. Just remember that God loves you and your family just as you are. Isn’t that wonderful?

  • kathy crowell

So sorry that you have experienced such cruelty and rejection by so many people and at such a young age. I praise God for how you have come through this and stand in the gap for so many, changing their lives! For those who speak such evil they have never experienced the love you show and carry within you.
Never quit….never stop…..we understand and we are with you. As for your beautiful brother…..I tremble at the thought of anyone speaking ill of the Father’s beautiful creation! I am so glad he is in your family not theirs. You are a beautiful woman and …..we thank you!!!

  • Peter Liapis

I just read your message to the President. BRAVO girl. You could not have been more on point, every point! I have ben a huge fan of your entire family and am proud at how you have all continued to handle yourselves with dignity and class in the face of the vicious onslaught against your family. You are an amazingly strong young lady, very pretty inside and out.

Let em add that when confronted with accusations of your mom being less that smart, I relish in asking the women if their accomplishments in any way come close to those listed in your mom’s resume, which is quite remarkable. “So”, I say, “if Sarah is so stupid and she’s accomplished all she has, then just how dumb does that make you?”

So please count me as a fan and supporter and may God continue to protect and bless you and yours.

    Peter Liapis

    • Jim Forrest

Peter, Great Post! Good idea about comparing accomplishments of the people who claim that Sarah Palin is dumb with the accomplishments of Palin, and then asking “So, who is the dumb person in this comparison?”!
And, there are so many of us out here that respect the Palin family for sticking to their beliefs and principles, and for dealing with all the many issues and challenges that so many people have to deal with, but needless to say, most of us do not have to try to deal with our challenges in the national spotlight!

      God Bless the Palin family!

      Jim Forrest

  • Hello Bristol, my wife and I met your mom here in Richland Wa. while she was out on her book tour. I am shocked and quite sickened by how you and your family are treated by the main stream media. As a man, I can’t even begin to understand how another man who claims to be for “Women’s rights” could and would ever turn a blind eye to any woman due to her political party? Even if that is not the case, perception is reality. As a Christian it breaks my heart that any human being could be so mean to young children. My wife and I lost one of our sons at birth… it was devastating. That was many years ago and only through Christ did we make it in our marriage. I am a Christian husband, father and musician that tries to honor God with every second of every day that has been given to me by Him. And when I see a sister in Christ suffer it bothers me greatly. God is in control and His plan is bigger than any of us will ever know.
“Beloved, let us Love one another, for Love is from God and whoever Loves has been born of God and knows God” 1 John 4:7
We will keep you all in our prayers… God bless, Austin

  • Thelma J Cast

Keep your chin up. you and your Mom have the support of so many decent and good Americans. The double standard of the left leaning media is appalling.

  • I am so sorry for the way that you and your family have been treated. It should not matter if they disagree with you but they should respect. You have taken your mistakes and made them positives and you should be proud of yourself. Not every female who finds herself with a beautiful baby can be motivated to suceed and yes you might have had doors open to you based on who your mom is, but you walked thru the door and took the oppertunity to make a life for you and your son. We need more females to walk thru a door to achieve their own success then to sit at home and recieve food stamps. Some have no choice but I fear some find it easy. May God bless you on what ever journey you choose and God Bless all your family …Illinois

  • I stand beside you Bristol. Thank you for being real. I love your family and pray for you! I got to meet your mom dad a few months ago in the Portland airport and they are just down to earth, wonderful people. Hugs….

  • glenn lester

Please don’t ever stop being who you are Bristol. I hope you and your entire faimily continue to do just what you have been doing since John McCain made the terrible mistake of picking your mother for a running mate, which is the reason he lost the election. You’re family has brought my wife and I more laughs than Bob Hope used to deliver. Dis-Function is a way of life and your family represents American Dis-Function in such Grand Style. Keep up the good work as this country needs as many laughs as it can get and the Palin Family is one Hell of a Great JOKE….. Merry Christmas

  • Christy

    Add me to your list!

  • Micky

Wishing you and your family the best. Please keep you head up; the ignorant among us are normally the most vocal.

  • Martha Clifton

Keep up the good work your family is great .You have help many youg people to keep trying I think you should keep the nuts own there toes good job.

  • A real mom

Please focus your energy on positive and stop whining. Just because you fell into the spotlight by accident, doesn’t mean you are educated in speaking publicly. You aren’t. Stick to what you know, Alaska and getting pregnant as a teen.

    • Beth

I feel sorry for ur children

  • Beth

Bristol: i am a 54 year old woman and I am ao proud of u. Do not listen to the haters. They are just jealous and probably a bit scared. But we both know that man who runs the country is a weakling and won’t call you. Instead he will blame President Bush.

  • Stephanie

    Hey Bristol,

I had the pleasure of meeting your mom and shaking her hand this past weekend in Greenville at the EW Conference. I keep your family in my prayers and am so inspired Iby your courage and that of your family. Keep the faith.

  • Laurie Walker

I admire you so for all you have done. Good standing up to that nastiest and most disgusting man I have ever seen, Bill Maher. Anyone who would take the time to watch him is just as disgusting and anyone who would accept his money is also disgusting. Maher is the lowest of human beings I have ever seen.

Keep up the good work. Tripp has a wonderful Mom!

  • we as spectaters are seeing a battle of good vs evil. I believe it is spiritual also.
I wish people would open their hearts and see it.
be strong and be proud that God is useing you to exibit what evil looks like and how much it has spread in this nation,

May God bless you and yours, again, stay strong,

  • Bristol – As you are aware, America has become divided since Obama has become president of this land. Just under 50% are dependent on the Govt. for some kind of benefit. This upcoming election will determine if 100% will be dependent on some sort of Govt. benefit. ObamaCare. I don’t hate Democrats or those from any party. I just don’t want to pay for those who have not and will not try. You and your family are examples of what American should strive to be. I have a daughter who tried to commit suicide when she became pregnant. Thankfully, she failed and has the most wonderful son who gives everyone so much joy. I admire your family and you Mother’s family. God Bless you all.

  • mary

God Bless You and your son….yes all the Palin family….
just want to encourage you to keep on keeping on…especially with Jesus. He said “the one without sin can cast the first stone”….that means that none of us have the right to say or do anything negative….how many of us have not sinned?
for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God….the important thing is to ask forgiveness and go on from there. So go girl….you deserve it…God loves you, your family loves you, your friends love you and we your supporters do….
God Bless you and keep your eyes on Him….

  • Marla

God bless you and your beautiful family!

  • HI Bristol, hey girl just hang in there, things have a way of working out, I’m a independent in more ways than one, I’ve been hearing nasty things all my life from the whitehouse it seems that the smarter we have become the more we forget where we actually came from. the last time that I had any respect for a president was indeed a long time ago. I was hopeing mybe Sarah Palin could drum some sence into washington dc, I still have a feeling about the future and it does not include the present people in power.. SO girl don’t worry be happly

  • I am a supporter of your mother and family. I am a retired conservative living in Northern Minnesota. I have a blog that is dedicated to conservative isssues and term limits specifically. terryselbysays.blogspot.com. My daughter is moving to Anchorage as a MD at the hospital. Hope to visit your great state and maybe I will run into you or your mother. I will fish for sure. Thanks for taking the time and spending the energy. Terry

A great blog site Bristol, on my favorites list now. Positive, strong, smart and already a leader at 21! Congratulations to you and best wishes from my family to you and yours.

Bristol, I am so glad that you have this blog. We can all communicate to you how much we love and support you. Keep up the good work! Give that beautiful son of yours a hug from me. He is absolutely beautiful!!

  • Karen

Hi Bristol! Glad to hear how life’s treating you! You can be a great inspiration to young mothers. Keep growing it just means your out of your comfort zone!

  • Mr Brown

To Bull: President Obama gets paid by all Americans, yet, seems to want to just represent Liberal Progressive Socialist Democrats, those in Poverty, “The Middle Class,” Unions, Muslims, people of color. Guess what, Bull, there are, also, Republicans who fit in all of the above. As for the Bill Maher issue, a million dollars for President Obama, what’s that a bribe, pay…Bull, I compel to call you a hipocrite…Mr Brown

    Hi Bristol:

Love the blog! I am impressed with your fortitude and common sense!

  • Rachel Scardino

I’ve been a supporter of your family since the Republican Convention of ’08. I pray for your family often, and I’m SO thankful for your family’s conservative stance and boldness. Like you, I am a Mom (of 2). My husband recently joined the bandwagon and defended your mom (in his usual respectful style) against some liberal-leaning relatives. Anyway, I look forward to following your blog! God bless! -Rachel S.

  • Toni

I have been praying for your family since 2008 and you are still in my prayers. I think you are all great, especially your Mom! The way the media and others have treated you all disgusts me but you have to know that people are waking up and see the truth. Keep up the good work and God Bless You All!

  • Audacity2be

Get an education and get a job

  • alyalaskan

Bristol, are you aware of the striking resemblence between Katliss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence, brunette) and yourself?

  • K Cooksey

Keep up the good work!! My thoughts are usually proved right on most “left, right” comments, and that is conservatives argue issues and beliefs while most liberals just attack the person who disagrees with their liberal views. Liberals never argue, they only spew hatred. Knowing that, they have lost SOOOOO much credibility with soo many of us.

  • Tonya Foster

Bristol, I think your an amazing young woman! I think it sad the way people talk about you being a young mother but love to make other young mother’s famous by watching the MTV shows. I also think it is so sad that people say what they say about your little brother! I am a big fan, and supporter of you and your family. Keep on smiling, and dont let the others bring you down!

  • Bristol,
I love your family. I have so much respect for true Americans. yes we all make mistakes I our lives, but in the end it is in God’s plan. I wish you well.

  • Jim Looram

Bristol, don’t listen to what those negative responses from people that want to put you down. Your most important job right now are your kids. I raised my three kids alone when there Mom walked out of our lives. They are doing great and so will yours. They will always remember that you were there for them. Continue being the great Mom to them!

  • kate

I am so enjoying your blog and my husband and I wish you the best with your fixer upper. I very much enjoyed the story about the young lady who entered the Jewish faith and became the wife of a Rabbi. There is a lot to read on the blog and we look forward to more very interesting reading. Good luck.

  • Jill

    Dear Bristol,
The easiest thing is to slink away and try to get on with life, but I admire you tremendously for putting yourself out there! You have and will continue to make a huge difference.
Satan wants to make fun of you and discourage you- through the negative and hateful comments.
I have admired your mom and family for the Christian stand you all make!!! I will continue to pray for you and your witness. This is what makes the difference for eternity…for you, your son and many others because you are brave in His strength!!!!!

  • mark abukoff

    well done Bristol 🙂

  • Anna Shultz

Im so excited to have found your blog! I’m from Texas, and think Alaskans feel similarly about their state pride. I love you and your whole family for your morals, Christian values, character, determination, grit and normalcy! Keep it up, pretty girl! God bless.

  • Millie

I can’t pick just one thing out of that speech there were so many things your mom said that I loved.
I watched it on TV and I was standing up clapping and shouting along with the audience and
saying YES throughout the whole time. I thought to myself now this is what we need to light a
fire under the people and the Republican party that we don’t have. I also loved her acceptance
speech. She knows better than anyone what this country needs to turn it around and get it going
    in the right direction.

  • wayne

I can’t believe what Maher said. And he is doing what Obama wants him to do. Obama hides behind his wall so it looks like someone else did it, but Obama sets all the crap up. Keep up the great work you are doing. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. God Bless You and your family.

Bristol, I can’t wait to read all of your blog posts! You are an inspirational person! All the people out there who don’t say nice things about you are clearly jealous of how smart and kind you are. You are an amazing mother, a great person, and a wonderful role model. I am probably going to buy your book! And I cannot wait for your reality show to come out! I’m 15 and most kids my age say their role models are Niki Minaj…and other not so great role models. You, however, are my role model and I look up to you! I wish I could move to Alaska because I love the outdoors and Alaska is so gorgeous! Thank you for being such an amazing person!!

I really liked your new show last night! I’ll be watching them all!

  • I really enjoyed your first episode….I love Tripp…I was so proud of you for having the fortitude to stand up for you Mom on the bull ride…And what a wimp that guy was….and of all things the real reason he hated you and your Mom….(if he proud to be out of the closet then he should be proud) (wink) And not be so defensive. You stood your ground ….way to go! I know you broke when you got outside and felt the pain of the way the world really is…But, you showed him …and he looked like a militant gay guy …bashing a young mother ….It put a very bad spotlight on himself. You continue to stand up for the Word of God and the things that are right….I loved the realness between you and Willow…I’m from a family of ten children and it’s just that way in a big family…lot’s of drama….and loads of love….We fight each other and fight others quicker than we would each other…and we would kick some tail over our family….I’m excited about your story….and look forward to the rest of the episodes….Send your Mom our love….she is a brave woman…to cut the strings and let you go fly….xoxo’s Veda

I enjoy reading your blogs and also enjoy watching your show…..#teampalin! 🙂

Bristol, I am so glad to see you honor your father. This is Jesus’s will.

My son said his baby who is to be born in June might have downs syndrome. He asked for prayer for her. We did pray for her healing of course. But it is interesting that he asked for prayer because for years now he has left Jesus out of his life (after being born again as a boy). Actually, his coming back to the Lord is even more important. Outside of Jesus is death, spiritual death. But I am confident he will be back serving the Lord–yes, I am very confident. how I love him! Will you pray too?

Miss Bristol, Like so many others I heard the slanderous ugliness being directed against you as a means of attacking your mom’s political career. I see that you handled that with grace and dignity. You have also done the admirable thing of being real about who you are and the life you’ve lived. Dear heart, you are a beautiful light shining in the present darkness. Your faith in the Lord is a beacon to a generation that has lost its way. Keep shinin’ baby girl! Keep shinin’!
