Okay, don’t be shocked, but I’m going to quote Al Gore. “Airplane travel is nature’s way of making you look like your passport photo.” I should add that travelling with children is even more harrowing. Helen Hayes said, “When traveling with someone, take large doses of patience and tolerance with your morning coffee.”
But what if you are traveling with three kids?
I’m happy to announce that I did just that… and – drumroll please – all of us survived!!!!!! I am so proud. As you know, Tripp is 9 years old. He’s easy and is always a big help! Sailor Grace is 2 years old. And Atlee Bay is only 9 months old. We were traveling 4,000 miles all the way home to Alaska to see my family!!!! (Gosh, I missed them!) I was nervous about the journey. In fact, when I heard so many people say “she’s got her hands full” under their breath.
Thankfully, it went well! I was so pleasantly surprised how well it went!
No melt downs or blow outs – and I can’t wait to be able to get back to Alaska!
