Oh my gosh, I love getting the kids photographed with the Easter bunny. I think these will be the types of photos that they’ll get a good kick out of later in life. Look at how pleased Tripp looks, compared to the girls. He probably realizes that Easter means he’ll be getting a lot of chocolate egg candy, marshmallow peeps, and jellybeans.
Of course, Easter is about more than funny photos with bunnies. While we Christians enjoyed all the signs of spring – except in Alaska where Spring is less evident — we celebrate the most important days of the year… the ones commemorating the death and resurrection of Christ.
Beyond the candy and new outfits, I hope to teach the kids about the new life we can have because of the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. He triumphed over the grave, to give us new hope! Of course, that’s not quite as funny as an awkward photo with a bunny, but it’s really good news.
